come on give the manager some time once he has his own players them we can judge better

This is obviously the most sensible/logical approach at the moment. But after witnessing recent performances, I can’t help feeling that nothing has improved or changed. The same old issues are glaringly present. And that’s not all down to personnel –I think some things could have been changed by coaching/managing. Bowyer had run his course but not convinced by Lambert’s credentials either.

Hey ho. See what January brings, hopefully survive this season and trap up with renewed hope next season.

I will say this, there is no excuse for starting Williamson today. He should've known within his first week that the guy is a one-paced crab. I know he gives his all, and I could never fault him for that, but he's League Two quality at best.

How did his replacement Lenihan do today?

I don't disagree with you but Lambert was talking up how well he'd performed in training.

I actually thought Williamson was the pick of our midfielders last season. (Not saying much I know)

Bizarre decision by Bowyer to hand him another contract then completely freeze him out of the reckoning though imo. If he wasn't going to figure regularly he should have been released.

Bowyer probably thought he was " a good egg " who cares about quality.

Fancy letting Judge go and keeping Williamson.

You don't win games by creating just one or two half chances per game, DMTP. It's just not feasible to be that efficient. We're not creating clear chances and we're not testing opposition goalkeepers. There really is no positive at the moment other than hopefully the majority of these rubber dinghy men will be out of our club before long.

Totally agree with that - and made the point when we were winning matches that it couldn't continue with such poor performances. However - my point is still valid - as the opposition aren't creating loads of chances either. I had hoped that we would remain solid - but Rhodes would start to nick the odd goal.

Some of these players have no desire or ambition. A bunch of sulking overpaid premadonnas unwilling to put a shift in. What a load of sh1t.

And to the miserable old hag who told me and my friends off for talking throughout the first half, go shove it. I forgot watching Rovers demands absolute silence. Not as if there's anything to concentrate on!

Disgusting, woeful, embarrassing.

Third attempt trolling for a reaction, grow up.

Bloody cowards are missing their buddy Bowyer. I hope they're all shown the door. Maybe they could pay the Rovers fans their ticket money back.

Absolutely, good money for them to lose every week. Probably worried about a Lambert clear out.

I still don`t understand why we sold King, Carney and Gestede. If getting out of FFP was so important why didn`t the owners just pay us out of it. We need flair players that can make things happen, as it stands they are going to have to spend a lot to get us out of trouble anyway.

King was out of contract and didn't want to renew it, and Gestede wanted out and gave us a hefty profit. Cairney being sold was a mystery to me though.

It;s been mentioned before but Williamson played enough games last season to trigger another year automatically. I'm told GB was surprised by this as he was assuming he'd move on in summer. Seems it was yet another cock up by the pen pushers not realising and passing it on to the manager. That was the word doing the rounds anyway.

Not trolling. I long advocated a change in management and welcomed Lambert with open arms.

Today, however, was disgusting. Whether it's Lambert or the players, it was utterly woeful. Much like Bolton and Reading.

We need to turn it around but worry that our long ball 'football' is a sad impersonation of Michael Appleton. I can't see much difference?

We should ship half of these useless buggers out the club. Toothless.

Its all about next season people.

Lambert is taking a look at the current crop and realising, as a few of us did under Bowyer, that the players are simply not good enough, how could they be? free transfers and other championship clubs 'throwaways' with a few cheap foreign imports.

Forget this season, its gone, look forward to next.

My phone won't let me quote posts. But as for somehow asking my solution, I have no idea. That's how bad it was today. I'd love to muster a positive but it wasn't there.

As like Bolton, our game plan was to aimlessly punt it forward. So bad.

The problem with next season is that there is at least one, probably two big clubs coming down.

Who care dgs?

We have a good manager with a good track record, give him a pre-season and we'll start to improve I have no doubt about that. I'm not bothered about going up, as long as we see improvement thats good enough for me.

Gav is right and pretty much what I said a while back. Concentrate on staying up then improve next season.

Maybe you're right but GB was expected to do a lot more with the squad than Lambert has been.

If you went today you'd be embarrassed at the style of football and calibre of performance. It was so mind numbingly awful.
