Mike Graham Posted January 12, 2016 Posted January 12, 2016 I worked in "Back of Avon" and had a small flat just of the the main high street roundabout for 6 months whilst I found a house with the Missus hence Cleeve Prior. A few years earlier when I lived in Bristol I edited the occasion Rovers South West fanzine called "M5/M6/Ewood Heaven" for about 40 fans across Glos, Somerset, Devon and Cornwall. I have always loved the area.

AlanK Posted January 13, 2016 Posted January 13, 2016 Latest forecast down here is good. A bit of rain this evening, other than that dry until next week
martonrover Posted January 13, 2016 Posted January 13, 2016 Latest forecast down here is good. A bit of rain this evening, other than that dry until next week As long as the pitch isn't frozen!
Colt Seavers Posted January 13, 2016 Posted January 13, 2016 It might have been a nice gesture for the players to club together and pay towards the cost of next week's travel. Jordan Rhodes ( for example) got paid 40 grand last week and didn't have to do any work for it.

tomphil Posted January 13, 2016 Posted January 13, 2016 Great gesture and fair play although it's a bit easier seeing as there was only 166 traveling fans. Think they might have baulked at it if there was 566

Think they might have baulked at it if there was 566 I recall Wigan players doing the same after being mullered at Spurs although I don't know the numbers involved.
tomphil Posted January 13, 2016 Posted January 13, 2016 I recall Wigan players doing the same after being mullered at Spurs although I don't know the numbers involved. Yes after a 9 nil thrashing or something I think. Doubt there was many Wiganers there but they certainly deserved their refund.
arbitro Posted January 13, 2016 Posted January 13, 2016 Looks like Newport will have a caretaker boss in charge next week. Possibly another ingredient to throw into the giant killing mix? http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/35297569
Lancaster Rover Posted January 13, 2016 Posted January 13, 2016 I'm hoping a decent cup run could be the launchpad to a strong end to the season after a disappointing December.
AllRoverAsia Posted January 13, 2016 Posted January 13, 2016 Can't help but think we were fortunate to miss a wet banana skin.
AlanK Posted January 14, 2016 Posted January 14, 2016 No rain forecast between now and the match. However, the forecast from the met office is that it will not get above freezing all day Monday with it being -2C at 6pm. Thats a bit concerning!
Mike Graham Posted January 14, 2016 Posted January 14, 2016 Oh dear, another 420 mile round drive for a roast beef dinner looms
Mattyblue Posted January 14, 2016 Posted January 14, 2016 We need a cup run, to take our minds off this truly dreadful league campaign.
had.e.nuff Posted January 14, 2016 Posted January 14, 2016 Oh dear, another 420 mile round drive for a roast beef dinner looms You could try lamb or chicken
donnermeat Posted January 14, 2016 Posted January 14, 2016 Is the commentary going to be in Welsh (On S4C)? Bloody hope not.

Ewood Spark Posted January 14, 2016 Posted January 14, 2016 Not sure how many we will take to this. I got my coach ticket before the game on Tuesday ... and I am on coach No 3. Does anybody have a ticket for any additional coaches? Are the independents still running their own coaches to Newport?
Backroom Madon Posted January 15, 2016 Backroom Posted January 15, 2016 I'm on coach 2, independants are still running their own supposedly. BBC weather is now saying rain all day on monday in Newport!!

had.e.nuff Posted January 15, 2016 Posted January 15, 2016 I`m on coach 2 just hope there is not a big freeze.
arbitro Posted January 15, 2016 Posted January 15, 2016 Newport's new manager is Warren Feeney. He will be assisted by Andy Todd. http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/35324509
had.e.nuff Posted January 15, 2016 Posted January 15, 2016 There could be some uncompromising defending if toddy has anything to do with it.
