I don't think it was anything like Keane's assault on Haaland. It was a nasty challenge though ad for those who have brought it up, there does not need to be any intent. If it is reckless or dangerous, it is a red and that was both.

I could give excuses about a debatable red card, about injuries, about the fact we are playing 4 wingers and 3 defensive midfielders, but to be honest these are paid professionals. If we didn't get the wrong penalty, and Newport had converted at least one of their other chances, we could be out of sight by now.
