Jim Royle Posted January 6, 2016 Posted January 6, 2016 I'm going and driving, 4 of us altogether, as I'm stretching my resolve to a 'dry' Saturday (little steps!). That dry month lark is just out of here

Ewood Spark Posted January 6, 2016 Posted January 6, 2016 Me, wife and the two kids driving down ... Not happy about the forecast ... I've not told my better half that we are in the open end!
barry_ Posted January 6, 2016 Posted January 6, 2016 I'm going with my son (in the open end) Any news about the state of the pitch?
AllRoverAsia Posted January 7, 2016 Posted January 7, 2016 I think Newport will do all they can to keep the pitch playable hoping that the heavier the going the more it will favour them. They fancy their chances and I dont blame them. They will be 'up for it' and we must be too and match their hard work and endeavour or else.............................

I bet they think that a heavy pitch will slow our pace attack down.
Backroom Madon Posted January 7, 2016 Backroom Posted January 7, 2016 I bet they think that a heavy pitch will slow our pace attack down. They think wrong, we've not had a pace attack for a very long time!
Tyrone Shoelaces Posted January 7, 2016 Posted January 7, 2016 Yeah they'll be loving a heavy pitch. It'll be all about who wants it the most. Normally that's not us. I wouldn't play the kids in this. We need our best side out there. Knowing who that actually consists of is another story.
Presty On Tour Posted January 7, 2016 Posted January 7, 2016 After a great day out in Bristol to the one of the worst trips at Cardiff last week, my view is quite optomistic as nothing can be as bad as last Saturday. I'm quite looking forward to being in the open stand too. It will rain, it always rains in Wales!
Hasta Posted January 7, 2016 Posted January 7, 2016 League 2 pitch, league 2 opposition. Wind him up and just watch Browny go in this one.
AlanK Posted January 7, 2016 Posted January 7, 2016 Reading the Newport forums they are as despondent as some folk here. They have 1 home win in 10 months!
davulsukur Posted January 7, 2016 Posted January 7, 2016 We'll give them a second! (We're generous like that)
Tyrone Shoelaces Posted January 7, 2016 Posted January 7, 2016 Reading the Newport forums they are as despondent as some folk here. They have 1 home win in 10 months! That means nothing. It all comes down to 11 versus 11 on the day.
Mike Graham Posted January 7, 2016 Posted January 7, 2016 That means nothing. It all comes down to 11 versus 11 on the day.in our case more like 11 v 4 or 5
chaddyrovers Posted January 7, 2016 Posted January 7, 2016 My team Steele; Henley, Hanley, Kilgallon, Spurr; Bennett, Lenihan, Evans, Conway; Brown, Rhodes Subs:- Eastwood, Duffy, Olsson, Akpan, Marshall, Mahoney, Lawrence
USABlue Posted January 7, 2016 Posted January 7, 2016 Newport are fancying their chances according to a board member in the South Wales Argus. They seem to be already counting the prize money I'm fancying their chances too.
AllRoverAsia Posted January 8, 2016 Posted January 8, 2016 League 2 pitch, league 2 opposition. Wind him up and just watch Browny go in this one. The first 2 points are what I was worried about...............and now theres a 3rd
onlyonejackwalker Posted January 8, 2016 Posted January 8, 2016 I'm fancying their chances too. I'm not. We will not lose this one.
arbitro Posted January 8, 2016 Posted January 8, 2016 I am looking forward to this for several reasons but at the back of my mind is the possibility of an upset. If we approach the game correctly, professionally and give Newport due respect we should get a result. However if we go into the game with the mentality we had against Bolton it could be a sombre journey back.
martonrover Posted January 8, 2016 Posted January 8, 2016 Reading the Newport forums they are as despondent as some folk here. They have 1 home win in 10 months! Just like Bolton hadn't won since September!
J*B Posted January 8, 2016 Posted January 8, 2016 Not won a game at home in months? Manager under massive pressure? Hours without a goal? Call 0800 - ROVERS and see what we can do for you. We have a long, esteemed history of providing relief when you need it most - with our biggest clients, Bolton Wanderers FC remarking; "Every single year Rovers at home digs us out the @#/?!". Blackburn Rovers, providing results when all the odds are against you.
G Somerset Rover Posted January 8, 2016 Posted January 8, 2016 Apparently Rhodes has got a knock too, so it could be just Browny up top. God help us.
Moderation Lead K-Hod Posted January 8, 2016 Moderation Lead Posted January 8, 2016 He might shine against League 2 opposition.....(Or probably not!)
