patrickvalery Posted January 18, 2016 Posted January 18, 2016 Conway bought it. That's because he's about the only one in our ranks with any savvy.
OJRovers Posted January 18, 2016 Posted January 18, 2016 Nothing to fear in the next round with a result like that
Wing Wizard Windy Miller Posted January 18, 2016 Posted January 18, 2016 Why send off the keeper in injury time- harsh - yellow would have sufficed. Crap ref Second half we were a lot better. Deserved it in the end I think.
mustard Posted January 18, 2016 Posted January 18, 2016 Why harsh? Nailed on red in the first or last minute. Conway going away from goal. Does he really stop a GS opportunity? Whistle about to go. I don't know.
EWOODACE1 Posted January 18, 2016 Posted January 18, 2016 Well. Awful first half. A lot better 2nd. Still not a good standard but better than we played first 45. Overall. We are pants
AdamRochina Posted January 18, 2016 Posted January 18, 2016 A win is a win bur first half awful Some players are way above there level here and need to be cut loose...I really don't want is to sell Rhodes
jim mk2 Posted January 18, 2016 Posted January 18, 2016 So Oxford away it is. I'm up for that one......52 years of hurt etc etc
Spankus Munky Posted January 18, 2016 Posted January 18, 2016 Both were sending offs, pal. You're wrong, but you're welcome to an opinion...
yoda Posted January 18, 2016 Posted January 18, 2016 So Oxford away it is. I'm up for that one......52 years of hurt etc etc Drama queen
Baz Posted January 18, 2016 Posted January 18, 2016 Oxford will be scared to death after that performance.
danger19_80 Posted January 18, 2016 Posted January 18, 2016 Or two leagues above the opposition. Down to 10 men for 80mins, completely comfortable second half bar one cross. FA Cup away fixtures are notoriously difficult no matter what level it is. If you were expecting us to turn up and do them over you know less about football than you were claiming earlier in this thread.
davulsukur Posted January 18, 2016 Posted January 18, 2016 Why send off the keeper in injury time- harsh - yellow would have sufficed. Crap ref Second half we were a lot better. Deserved it in the end I think. Awful decision by the keeper IMO. Gave the ref no choice at all. Deserved to go.
Backroom Tom Posted January 18, 2016 Backroom Posted January 18, 2016 Would anyone have not taken a scrappy battling win pre game? Perfect tonic after a run a bad form, game looked to be heading away from us till we stepped up
perthblue02 Posted January 18, 2016 Posted January 18, 2016 Easy , just toying with them oh look Wedi'r egwyl on next on s4c might stay up for that Just seen the pic bbc sport have tweeted with Rhodes celebration, sucking his thumb anybody know what that is about?
RevidgeBlue Posted January 18, 2016 Posted January 18, 2016 No red for me im afraid, Conways was going away from goal. 2 terrible decisions from the ref Eh? Blatant red! As for Brown's I can't think of many ref's who wouldn't have red carded him these days. The rule is that you see red if you are reckless or your body is out of control. I'm sure he didn't intend to hurt the other player but his studs were up and it was a very poor, nasty challenge. As the poster above said., 2 nailed on reds.
watford-rover Posted January 18, 2016 Posted January 18, 2016 hats off to rovers for that second half performance, no idea how many hairdryers were thrown around at half time by lambert but it worked. that was a professional performance and we were good value to get the win based on that half. Still not seeing anything special from lawrence Anyone know when the tickets for the next round on sale?
Salgado Is Still A Hero Posted January 18, 2016 Posted January 18, 2016 Watched Oxford's game against Swansea and they were really impressive. We're gonna have to sort ourselves out before that game.
chor808 Posted January 18, 2016 Posted January 18, 2016 Good effort second half they must have had a rocket up them. Passed it about and looked decent. Got to keep it up every match.
VinjayV4 Posted January 18, 2016 Posted January 18, 2016 Why send off the keeper in injury time- harsh - yellow would have sufficed. Crap ref Second half we were a lot better. Deserved it in the end I think. It was an obvious red card and unbelievably stupid. Virtually no time to equalise and makes a stupid challenge like that to get suspended. Can't believe the Newport fans were clapping him. If I was in charge there he would never play for the club again.
grizfoot Posted January 18, 2016 Posted January 18, 2016 Much more like it that second half. Still plenty of areas for improvement but hopefully the win will give us a confidence boost. Great to see Rhodes back on the scoresheet, it was only a matter of time.
cesus Posted January 18, 2016 Posted January 18, 2016 Professional second half after a stinking first! Thought Hanley had an excellent game.
SIMON GARNERS 194 Posted January 18, 2016 Posted January 18, 2016 Nothing to fear in the next round with a result like that Yeah....bet Oxford are papping themselves!
Spankus Munky Posted January 18, 2016 Posted January 18, 2016 Eh? Blatant red! As for Brown's I can't think of many ref's who wouldn't have red carded him these days. As the poster above said., 2 nailed on reds. Forget Brown's as thats opinion, my opinion Foul - yes, Yellow - yes, Red - never as for the Keeper the rules are clear, he never broke a rule that results in a red, so it's never a red.
