neophox Posted January 12, 2016 Posted January 12, 2016 A chance for Leninhan and Spurr to cement their places for the next game.
SIMON GARNERS 194 Posted January 12, 2016 Posted January 12, 2016 Good enough, satisfied? ** BIG sigh** Now Five points behind Preston.
Backroom Tom Posted January 12, 2016 Backroom Posted January 12, 2016 Good point but should have been 3 if not for clown keeping - he nearly gave them another at the end Williamson and Brown were much better than what came before them Bennett was decent I thought but Conway poor Service was poor but Rhodes had 4 good chances all on target but saved or blocked but he was offside far too often Expected to lose so happy with a point I have faith in Lambert even blind faith maybe
Spankus Munky Posted January 12, 2016 Posted January 12, 2016 A point is a variable point hope we get some one in soon that can score goals. Our strikers are dire. What happened to Rhodes is beyond me. Well Roy Keane sold him from Ipswich, and who was Paul Lambert's assistant at Villa? maybe they share the same philosophy and it just don't suit Rhodes?
martonrover Posted January 12, 2016 Posted January 12, 2016 Good enough, satisfied? ** BIG sigh** Now Five points behind Preston. More importantly, still eight above relegation zone.*edit* Seven points , apologies.
bluefred Posted January 12, 2016 Posted January 12, 2016 Time for Raya? Tried that remember he's sh1te
Backroom Tom Posted January 12, 2016 Backroom Posted January 12, 2016 Time for Raya? Just as bad - both good shotstoppers but have a touch of the David James'
sambo Posted January 12, 2016 Posted January 12, 2016 Not really that impressed, but past caring currently. Just want this season to be over, and hope we return next season with tactics that aren't 'smash it to Rhodes/Lawrence/whoever's up there'. Thankfully we got a point. They all count.
jim mk2 Posted January 12, 2016 Posted January 12, 2016 Hold the Back Page. Rovers Score Goal Shock. Dire form points all Rhodes to bottom three. By Jim Hacker
oldjamfan1 Posted January 12, 2016 Posted January 12, 2016 More importantly, still eight above relegation zone. *edit* Seven points , apologies. Goal difference is as good as an extra point
Backroom Tom Posted January 12, 2016 Backroom Posted January 12, 2016 Hold the Back Page. Rovers Score Goal Shock. Dire form points all Rhodes to bottom three. By Jim Hacker 4 points off bottom 3 when bowyer sacked Currently 8 points off bottom 3 with a game in hand
sharpysharps Posted January 12, 2016 Posted January 12, 2016 The season is a write off in terms of any playoff related ambitions...we just need to keep our heads above water to allow time for PL to put his stamp on the side with his own signings. Decent point I suppose given how badly the team has been playing recently, hopefully there will be more striking options in the very near future. I can see a Brown starting against Brighton at this rate.
Backroom Mike E Posted January 12, 2016 Backroom Posted January 12, 2016 On that showing I can't even point out what's wrong. Just dreary all night. On the odd occasions we played at head height or below, we looked great but we never take advantage. Need Conway to perform opposite Bennett. Quite why Bennett played the high cross at the end instead of smashing it low, I'll never know. Solid debut though, made a few things happen. I think his pace is great, just not his initial acceleration.
T J Hooker Posted January 12, 2016 Posted January 12, 2016 Its something to start building on I suppose, but this really is the most mediocre team of players I can remember us having in my lifetime, even Kean had a decent squad of players(he was just a useless idiot though)
tomphil Posted January 12, 2016 Posted January 12, 2016 Fully behind Lambert and we need to look back to when Dyche was first at Turd Moor and they were unspectacular. Also a lot of Dingles were on his case but he had to build his own side in his own style/image. I'm confident Lambert will do similar but it'll take a complete overhaul and a full summer training camp. If anyone doesn't want to be here then bounce em out the door they've all had it easy enough up to now. I am however concerned that he continues to try percentage style football when we just are not tailored to it, surely he's wise enough to alter it a bit now.
Backroom Tom Posted January 12, 2016 Backroom Posted January 12, 2016 The ironic noise when Brown came on seemed to lift the place The ref was a joke let Henry and that dork at 33 get away with murder and blatant time wasting
Tyrone Shoelaces Posted January 12, 2016 Posted January 12, 2016 We've got several years of accumulated dross out there. We've brought in Lambert and Irvine in to make things happen. It'll take time and it'll take players. Souey took more than half a season to get an extremely talented group of players playing his way. I'd have taken a score draw at 7-45. Let's not fool ourselves, how many of our players would get in their team ? A lot of patience will be required. What's this story about Olsson ? Who does he think he his. He's just a bit less crap than most of the rest.

Just don't understand why we play it long to Rhodes and Lawrence. Bizarre.
Mike Graham Posted January 12, 2016 Posted January 12, 2016 Just got home. My that was the pits. Lambert will need to jettison the dregs he inherited from GB. I would say about 8,250 on tonight at the most. You could hear Rhodes yawning.
matt83 Posted January 12, 2016 Posted January 12, 2016 Unimpressive again. I think the problem lies with the fact we are totally bereft of any quality in the squad. A county mile away from being even competent at times. It's slow pace pedestrian football. I'm inclined to agree that this season is a total write off so we need to stay in the division, few new faces in January/summer preferably ones with some backbone, get them all well drilled, super fit and go from there. Have to believe lambert is way forward for this but it's a baptism of fire if he thought an ounce of quality in this squad. On the plus side didn't lose that's it.
