Yet he had a big part in beating the favourites for promotion from this league. The flick on for the goal and some of his play to keep the ball at the right end on Tuesday was superb.

Can't imagine he's on more than £5k so well worth a place in the squad.

If you really think there's better down Pleasy then why not highlight their names to the club we could be onto a winner there.

'There's better down Pleasington' has become the new 'bunkum'....

You'd think Pleasington was a hotbed of readily available talent that we could pluck from obscurity to blood in the first team.

Don't see the rush to make our minds up about Jackson. There's hardly going to be many clubs bigger than us queuing up for his services.

ditto Watt for me

If we could get Graham and Gomez tied up before the end of the season, it would be a massive boost to attracting other players too.

I hope we are talking to them to find out if they are interested in staying on.

Best mate was just talking to Elliot Ward, said to expect big changes in the summer (Wards words). Sounds like a few have been told they're on their bike come the end of the season.

Your best mate needs to clue up :P

He already signed a permanent deal here Neal, 2.5 year contract

Whats even funnier is that I knew that... Haha! I think he thought he was on loan for some reason and then subconsciously convinced me! They were talking to him about Chris Brown, he said it's a funny one because he though he did well in the games he played, mate said we're a tough bunch to please after goings on since Kean and he laughed and seemed to understand apparently.

Minor point i did not see mentioned.. first post is slightly wrong as Conway is also out of contract in the summer, get the feeling that he may be on his way out as well.

Squad as it stands without any being renewed..

GK: Steele and Raya

Def Duffy, Ward, Hanley, Henley and Marshall

Mid: Guthrie, Lowe, Akpan, Lenihan, Evans, O'Sullivan and Bennett

Str: no one

So if Ward says a shake up..

Conway signed a new contract in December that keeps him here until 2018

It would be pretty normal for players who won't be re engaged to be told well in advance to give them a better chance of getting fixed up with another club before the ending of their contracts.

I watch a lot of Celtic and go 2 or 3 times a year to watch them live, I don't think Griffiths would be what we are looking for and am unsure he would cut it in the Championship. He struggled at Wolves and although scoring a lot of goals in the SPL at the moment, he's doing it in a poor league. The standard of the SPL is well below what it was a few years ago. Craig Curran who couldn't get a game in League 2, 4 seasons ago is currently playing week in week out for 4th placed Ross County, says it all.

I don't think Griffiths is a Lambert type player at all. Notwithstanding that your point is a fair one about the SPL (though he is head and shoulders the best striker in it)

Griffiths has pace and will score goals but doesn't offer much in the form of hold-up play. He was only young before going back up to Scotland so I have no doubts he would score goals in this league, just not sure Lambert would be interested. We'd probably be talking about 4/5 million as well.

Actually, after checking his wiki, turns out he did get quite a few goals for Wolves. The SPL might be a fair bit weaker these days but his scoring record for Celtic is still impressive, and if we're just highlighting individual players, then I could say Daryl Murphy was a Celtic reject and he was top goalscorer in the C'ship last year.

Did he not score a few goals for wolves at the start of their league one campaign?

Yeah he did 13 in 27 games, their joint top scorer.. was an odd one though he was sold to Celtic for 1m in Jan that season. Never worked out why he was pretty much loaned out or sidelined from the moment he joined.

Given PL is currently working with another wayward former Celtic player in Watt.. he might just appeal though Griffiths does have an even more colourful track record
