So your saying a player that does what a basic footballer should do had a good game? Sunday league players did what he did today.. He Barley threatened.. Won a couple of headers that went no where..

I'll take from abbeys playbook here - stick to Fifa,. Far and away the best player for us and shouldn't come under fire, open season of the rest of them, spineless cowards the lot of them

id be happt to see most of the first team being given their marching orders(either sold or paid off) even if it means certain relagation, it would give us a completely fresh start to rebuild from the ground up

Welcome to you're opinion like but I couldn't disagree any more.

Pay off all your players, get relegated to a level where we'd earn even less to start again with an even smaller pot to @#/? in...

My frustration with Lambert is his seeming devotion to a system that clearly isn't working. I appreciate this isn't his team but he could change it for the time being, till it is his team.

It's obvious that some of these players just can't or won't play his way.

Professional players should be able to adapt,

looks like some don't want to

Neither of them were a patch on how bad Kilgallon was. You also seem to have a thing about Rhodes highlighting every time he misses a chance.

People in glass houses and all that.

And you are well entitled to that opinion.

You are right though Kilgallon was up there with Rhodes and Spurr as an elite class of terrible today.

Lambert has a tough job here, my views on him are known but I fear he isn't going to get the time he needs.

Is it that though? The gameplan seems to be to play long ball football, but we don't really have the players to play it.

It doesn't seem much like Lambert is doing anything special - it seems a slightly more defensive, and much more direct version of Bowyer's negative football.

We can blame the players yes, but I don't think the whole downturn in form is them simply not wanting to adapt to whatever tactics Lambert is trying to play.

I might get hammered for this, but I genuinely thought we played alright.

A par performance from a poor squad. Only criticism for

Bennett Akpan and Conway. They looked like they were scared of the snow :P

I must praise Brown. For an hour, he did everything he could.

I think we need to calm down a bit. Said all season we're 15th at best.

GB got 2 seasons before any booing.

No goals from open play under Lambert is extremely concerning. The lack of goals in general makes for very worrying reading.

I wasn't expecting miracles from PL but this is far worse than I imagined. I'm not sure what's happening, but the dream team are somehow making us even worse than we were under GB. They need to get a grip on this situation now, otherwise they may not get a chance to rebuild next season. It's that bad at the moment.

That was by far the worst I've seen us. Whenever we had the ball today there was just a huge void and bank of opposition players in front of us with no one moving or looking for the ball. Individually only Hanley came out with any credit I thought, Kilgallon's performance was an absolute

disgrace, he should be fresh as a daisy and busting a gut to impress and is presumably one of the better paid players at the Club.

I wasn't too worried before today, but I am now. Whatever it is Lambert is trying to implement the players are clearly not buying into it. Not sure what the answer is as there's no guarantee that if PL went at some point this disgraceful shower wouldn't decide that they didn't like the next guy either.

I'm not being petty but a footballer is flipping paid to do the basics and put effort in...it's what there on the pitch for

I think the effort was there ........ they are just not very good at playing football. Now that is a basic structural fault... and wasnt created by Lambert

Fed up of feeling fed up about Rovers. Just fecking sort it out FFS!

I'm taking some small solace in the fact it hurts again, defeats barely registered for me towards the end of bowyer

Creating chances but not putting them away, Rhodes is on a really bad run of form and Rovers are paying for it.

I would suggest the idea of dropping him but there is no clear alternative right now. Maybe Lambert should drop him as it would send out a message and hopefully fire him up.

And some others in the "team"

Handful of problems in the team.
For me boils down to lack of pace on the wings, lack of creativity in center midfield. Lack of organisation along center midfield in the form of pressing opponents.

We play to much in the air. We don't play enough along the ground fast.

This has been the main reason we haven't got goals through Rhodes.
Rhodes scores best from foot, not from the air.

I also wonder whether it is time to have a new captain.

If the players aren't getting on with Lambert then relegation is a definite possibility. A clean slate is much needed as this group of players are a disgrace on the whole. Will PL get the time to do that? I'm not convinced he will at this point.

At least the myth of this group of players being good enough for a playoff push is dead and buried.

Don't understand how people are calling out akpan. At least he tried to do something. Was our only threat for a lot of the game. Brown worked his socks off but doesn't have the talent. Hanley as someone else said was a rock and was doing the job of two.

Bennett is absolutely useless. Offers nothing. Rhodes for about eight games now has been garbage. Pulls out of everything and can't even be arsed jumping for a header. Spur has always been a week link and king alley had his worst game for us.

We are still playing with too much width so no one is an option for anyone so we just play the same balls which don't threaten at all

Just got home.....my that was bad. All I want are players who put a shift in and can get the basics right.

Jordan Rhodes = "The Invisable Man".

It would be nice to have a midfield for once.

At least Chris Brown deserved MOTM and some decent applause which was good.
