Bolton hadn't won for 17 games before meeting ut

Brighton hadn't scored for 500 minutes before meeting us

We are horrible and it is very possible that we will go down unless someone grabs our players by the balls

I nominate Abbey, I think he's got it in him to put the fear of God into the players!

Conway has been poor for some time now, probably since he signed his new contract. Amazing coincidence that. I can't remember the last telling cross (either open play or dead ball) he put in, the last time he went past his man or the last decent tackle he made. I can remember lots of mis controlled balls, hitting the front man and losing the ball. In fairness he does put a shift in but should that merit a place?

Venkys need to fund transfers in this window. This isn't Lambos mess it's their's. This squad is gutless and IMO have downed tools. They aren't even playing for pride.

It's not a case of sacking the manager, it's a case of sacking players who aren't playing for the jersey.

Long road ahead.

Like I said a few pages back, I don't see the sense in him playing LM. He's not the fastest winger as it is, but having him cut onto his stronger foot slows the play down even more. I thought he momentarily linked up well with Marshall when he was moved to the right-hand side. That's where I'd start him against Charlton.

I agree that we need a massive rebuild in summer but anyone expecting a push for promotion next year needs a reality check. It is a harder task year on year.

Lambert needs significant investment for at least two and possibly three summer's to get anywhere near. I don't expect the Venkys to fund that, and my own expectations of the future of this club are exactly the same as they were in my first season as a supporter ('77/'78), namely mid table mediocrity and hopefully a good cup run watching a team of has beens and also rans.

We are exactly where we were back then and our next promotion is more likely to be from League One than the Championship.

I noticed soon after the half time whistle that the Brighton substitutes were going through a coordinated warm up. Out substitutes came ambling out in dribs and draws after about seven minutes and began to @#/? about. It went through my mind that there could be some kind of mutiny by the players in retaliation for having to work harder. Just my opinion and theory though.

Spot on.. Sulkers on bench.

I totally trust in Lambert.

Not really sure what to say after that.

A rather telling moment in the game... Both Brighton and Rovers were making a sub, the board goes up with #25 off and #21 on. Akpan (#21) runs halfway across the pitch only to realise it was Brighton's sub with Zamora (#25) going off. Seemed like he was dying to get off the pitch and from his and the performances of many others, it seemed they didn't want to be there...

Liked what Lambert had to say after the game, he must be thinking the same as the fans, why did we start so slowly ?

why are we passing it backwards ?

He certainly seems to have said it as he saw it, SIMPLY NOT GOOD ENOUGH.

I quite like this guy !

Just read again what he said :- " Not good enough just to pass it backwards "

Good to hear him being honest, just what this club has needed for a good few years, I have a feeling this guy will

eventually sort it out.

1 The players are trying to get PL out/are sulking.

2 Kilgallon clearly wasn't fit. Only reason for that bad a performance. Rushed back as had no cbs Imo.

3 Olsson should've at least come on if not played. Only pace we have in a cery slow team. Should have been lb with Spurr at cb. Of bot a starting tactic obvious needed to happen as a sub change.

4 When Brown is your best player you really need to be worried.

5 Will the real Rhodes step forward? Should be scoring some of these chances.

6 Some players who can do a role are looking poor because their strength isn't supported by their teammates. Apkan being physical bit having no creativity is more of a problem when no one else is creating for example. We need a lineup that compliments each other.

7 All bar point 1 is probably irrelevant because of point 1. The players want out or PL out so we're pretty stuffed.

I think that's slightly unfair, he was one player that kept going till the end and was making forward runs, we had a player about to come on and Akpan thought it was his number and ran to get the sub made quickly.

If players really are sulking I hope it's them who leave because they will do the same with whoever is appointed after him.

Get rid of the rot don't allow it to spread.

Your spot on. These slackers would get any decent manager sacked. They need weeding out.

I might get hammered for this, but I genuinely thought we played alright.

Which game are you referring to??

Today's. It was an improvement on Rotherham, Bolton, Cardiff and QPR.

I did say; We played alright. Not great.

We've played worse, in my opinion.

The main point in my post was it's been obvious how poor our squad is all season, and to expect Lambert to perform a miracle and put everything right in 3 months is laughably impossible.

Perhaps, but he and plenty of others look lacking in confidence and certainly in application, if not effort. Consistently failing to control the ball or misplacing simple passes. I don't think any of them looked like they truly wanted to be there, besides Browny funnily enough.

I must admit that I thought exactly the same.

But I wasn't as keen as you to mention it. ^_^

Anyone seen the goal back? My first instinct was the keeper could have done more on the initial shot - am I being overly harsh?

It struck me today that our players just aren't up to it; it looked like they had been told to keep in on the deck more but not a single one had that little bit extra about them and ended up passing it across the back four all too cowardly to try and make something happen.

I thought that live at the match he could have done more. Seen one replay back and it's hard to tell. He made one good save from Zamora at the end of the first half but other than that had a quiet afternoon.

He had to be sharpish to keep out Rhodes best effort of the game as well!
