Aye, I think it was Spurr or Akpan on the ball. Everybody standing still, led to a chorus of boos/jeering. Seems to have given them a bit of a kick up the arse as we've started passing it quicker since then.

Where ?

The lack of attackibg urgencey is pathetic

Awful. Seems to be a completion in midfield for who can give the ball away quickest. Meanwhile defence are happy just to move it from side to side.

This is not the sign of a happy group. Spurr and Conway seem to have both been give the same set of instructions by mistake.

We need a midfielder to drive up the middle. Akpan is helping things to happen up the right wing a little with Bennett doing okish.

Conway on the left is hanging out wide too much instead of coming inside and letting Spurr overlap.

Lenihan has had a couple of good tackles but also given the ball away dangerously a couple of times.

Brown doing a lot of running and moving the defence about (Kuqi-esque) but Rhodes unable to take advantage of his 4 chances.

Not playing 'badly' as such, just no imagination. It's all steady Eddie which we CANNOT AFFORD TO DO WHEN BEHIND!

I wonder if I'm being kind with that assessment tbh. Have my own expectations been dumbed down that much over these 5 years?

I think that's a good summary. We just need a goal. Akpan playing well and so are Brown & Rhodes. We have the problem of no midfield apart from Akpan.
