We need a midfielder to drive up the middle. Akpan is helping things to happen up the right wing a little with Bennett doing okish.

Conway on the left is hanging out wide too much instead of coming inside and letting Spurr overlap.

We need a Creative Central Midfielder.

Having Conway provide the assists made sense all the time we had Gestede.

But selling Gestede (who's goals came from Conway mostly), and Cairney (who provided Rhodes with most his goals) was absolutely suicidal from Bowyer.

We need a Creative Center Midfielder and a change of tactics to be more passing, and advancing through the center.

Only issue is we don't know what he's asking them - not one player is doing much different, or at least any better, than they were before.

I think the 'holiday camp' argument may be a valid one, but it could be overly simplistic and we don't know for definite if it's accurate.

Really hoping we turn it around...COYB

I don't know where to begin with this. Spurr isn't a footballer end of. Akpan isn't either. Kilgalon lets be kind and say he's rusty. Hanley same old ok in parts but prone to stupidity. This new lad bennet terrible as well I could barely believe my eyes when Zamora chased him down in first half.

Don't think he had much choice in either sale to be fair, especially Gestede when a PL club wanted him.

Marshall hits the bar/post from a free kick. Still wouldn't have been a goal from open play, but right now a goal from anywhere will do.
