Certainly used up his 9 lives, what a life though ! RIP Rick

Does anyone know what actually happened in the end?

The reports were shoddy as usual, basically stating;

"He went into hospital with a 'shoulder injury' and caught a bug that killed him". Then someone more famous than him died and he was out of the news pronto.
