A point towards safety... make no mistake, the rest of this season is a relegation fight. Let's hope these eternal underachievers have enough about them to keep us in the division until the summer, then Lambert wields the axe in a big way. Fingers crossed we'll get another league win before the season ends.

At least we didn't lose I guess. Frustrating that we went behind again! Still, hopefully we won't do that next time.

Decent enough point, keeps us 9 above them and a point further ahead of the team third bottom.

Not losing was more important than winning.

We are going to have to pick up some wins soon and some tough games to come

Got to be winning these games. Sounds like Jackson played well when he came on. I'd play Ward rather than Duffy against Oxford

On the one hand at least we didn't lose but on the other hand if we can't beat Charlton (and Bolton) the two worst teams in the division then there's no hope.

Forest only managed a 1-1 draw in Charlton's last home game and they've just won at Boro.

Football is odd, people complain we are in a relegation scrap then complain when we end the day further away from the drop zone than when we started.

We're probly going to be better against the better teams

We haven't won in the league since 8 games ago and haven't beaten a decent team all season. But I admire your positivity.

Not really 'complaining' Tom. Would say it's right to still be very concerned about relegation given our fixtures in Feb / early March.

Any point away is ok. Home where we need to show a bit more. Very reminiscent of early Hughes days. Needs to be given time.

Lambert's biggest mistake was coming in and promising attacking football and a play off push. Made a rod for his own back.

If he had come in and stated that the squad would need rebuilding and this season about consolidation- then he would be getting more slack.

Ah, but the Bowyerite argument will be that he never looked much cop here. Even though that could be attributed to a lack of gametime and the manager not playing to his strengths.

Flip side of that was that most anti-Bowyer fans said it was a mistake to bring him back and that he wasn't good enough.

Hindsight is a wonderful thing - at the time he was here he didn't do much when he had game time and to be honest other players looked far better in his position.

It isn't one I would blame Bowyer for one way or the other.

I saw all that as an ultimate goal, as I don't recall him saying that was what would be happening right away. (Though I'm happy to be proven wrong if that was the case).
