RevidgeBlue Posted January 30, 2016 Posted January 30, 2016 I expect an absolute tonking now, morale will be on the floor in the wake of Rhodes' ill timed departure.

AggyBlue Posted January 30, 2016 Posted January 30, 2016 Early start again. See y'all down there as life without Rhodes begins.
Mike Graham Posted January 30, 2016 Posted January 30, 2016 6 degrees and sunny in Oxford this afternoon. Heavy rain, high winds and depressing in Blackburn this morning.
philipl Posted January 30, 2016 Posted January 30, 2016 No Rhodes seriously increases the chances of this tie going horribly wrong for us. Need a blinder from at least one of the debutants.
Bundesburn Posted January 30, 2016 Posted January 30, 2016 Where's everyone going to be drinking beforehand?
OJRovers Posted January 30, 2016 Posted January 30, 2016 I really don't know why lambert hasn't brought in any midfielders, the quality to choose from is poor. We really struggled on the bobbly pitch at Newport and I think it will be same today. Surely someone needs to take the chance to stake a place in the team and put a good performance in.
Leonard Venkhater Posted January 30, 2016 Posted January 30, 2016 Very poor form from the club despite him being terrible in his 60 odd days with us: http://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/news/oxford-united-boss-michael-appleton-7272186 A million miles from Bill Fox and Don Mackay's joint press conference! No surprise, though. We all knew that a family club had been hijacked. I was soooo embarrassed for Rovers...and not for the first time, since 2010...... Shebby Singh as global adviser was too awful to watch....like Gary Glitter becoming Pope!
BlueMonday Posted January 30, 2016 Posted January 30, 2016 Well, the team sheet will be interesting. Hope we see an improved performance and our name in the cap for the next round. A tricky tie all the same. Safe and fruitful trip to all the hardy Rovers making the journey.
riverside returns Posted January 30, 2016 Posted January 30, 2016 not the first time in our history a goal scorer has been sold neither the last. Perhaps PL has a better idea of building a team without him
Bundesburn Posted January 30, 2016 Posted January 30, 2016 Guys, I've set off.. Where is good to drink?!
A cup of beans Posted January 30, 2016 Posted January 30, 2016 Until a couple of hours ago I found the bookies' odds for tomorrow's game slightly out of kilter and couldn't understand - despite our poor form and Oxford's decent run - why they were making a fourth division team such strong favourites to beat a second division team. They obviously had a whiff of the Rhodes situation!Strangely our odds have shortened slightly (3.10 on bet365, when I got 3.40. Last night).Do we know If Watt is eligible? Oh,and I've got a feeling Garner 's last Rovers goal was at Oxford.
Stuart Posted January 30, 2016 Posted January 30, 2016 ABBEY mode ON: WE ABSOLUTELY MUST SCORE THIS AFTERNOON
Mike Graham Posted January 30, 2016 Posted January 30, 2016 MAYBE WE NEED TO SCORE 2 OR MORE. CAPS LOCK DAY
oldjamfan1 Posted January 30, 2016 Posted January 30, 2016 Oh,and I've got a feeling Garner 's last Rovers goal was at Oxford. Indeed it was
chor808 Posted January 30, 2016 Author Posted January 30, 2016 Still plenty of free parking if you are on your way. Sunny and cold just right fit the cup.
oldjamfan1 Posted January 30, 2016 Posted January 30, 2016 Safe travels all you Rovers, and I hope you have as memorable a day as the last time we played at Oxford in the FA Cup COYB!!!
Leonard Venkhater Posted January 30, 2016 Posted January 30, 2016 Safe travels all you Rovers, and I hope you have as memorable a day as the last time we played at Oxford in the FA Cup COYB!!! Jimmy Quinn!!
Mercer Posted January 30, 2016 Posted January 30, 2016 Looks even more difficult now. Think things will also get worse before they get better. Patience and nerve needed - the darkest hour is just before the dawn !
bazza Posted January 30, 2016 Posted January 30, 2016 Jimmy Quinn!! Jimmy Quinn is one of only two Rovers players whose surname began with Q. Without resorting to Google, who was the other?
ABBEY Posted January 30, 2016 Posted January 30, 2016 Jimmy Quinn!! memories of dancing on a refreshment stands roof at swindown ha Jimmy Quinn is one of only two Rovers players whose surname began with Q. Without resorting to Google, who was the other? Chris QUASSIMODO Brown ?
bazza Posted January 30, 2016 Posted January 30, 2016 Eddie Quigley! Correct CLB. I thought it wouldn't take too long.
chaddyrovers Posted January 30, 2016 Posted January 30, 2016 Steele, Marshall, Ward, Hanley ©, Spurr, Bennett, Lenihan, Evans, Conway, Jackson, Watt. Subs: Raya (GK), Henley, Kilgallon, Lawrence, Taylor, Duffy.
G Somerset Rover Posted January 30, 2016 Posted January 30, 2016 Have we only travelled with 6 subs again? I know Rhodes got pulled but can't have been tough to have learnt from experience and taken a youngster along.
