Steele, Marshall, Ward, Hanley ©, Spurr, Bennett, Lenihan, Evans, Conway, Jackson, Watt.

Subs: Raya (GK), Henley, Kilgallon, Lawrence, Taylor, Duffy.

What an awful side that is. The only people terrified by that is us Rovers fans.

We badly need reinforcements. Bonkers to sell your best player in January.

Where's Akpan ?

Is there an echo in here ? Hanley's been our best player this season by a large margin.

Rhodes has been in the worst form of his career and scored 11 goals.

Hanley is in the best form of his. How many clean sheets has that resulted in?

Whether you like him or not, Rhodes was Rovers' best player.

And Rhodes would have made what difference ?

BTW - have you seen Ward and Watt play - I haven't, but it would appear you don't rate them

Six subs is so unprofessional.

Even if Rhodes was still there, what would have happened if a player called away due to a family emergency or even fell ill overnight.

Probably can't afford the extra hotel room. :P

Have we only travelled with 6 subs again? I know Rhodes got pulled but can't have been tough to have learnt from experience and taken a youngster along.

Exactly my reaction. It's shocking really, that we line up with six subs. There have apparently been negotiations re: Rhodes for a few days, so we already knew this was a possibility. On top of which, we knew last night that he was NOT playing - plenty of time to tell one of the other lads they need to get down to Oxford the next day!

Apparently our third choice goalie, Eastwood, did travel, so we anticipated that much. And why isn't he on the bench? Might as well be if he's there and we've a spare slot!

If you say so. I know who's got more chance of being a success in the Prem.

Hanley already showed himself to be crap in the Prem, and is stuck at a mid table Champs team, whereas Rhodes has attracted a ten million pound bid from a Premiership team, and is now being signed by a team that are very likely to go up. So, that'll be Rhodes then.

And Rhodes would have made what difference ?

Eh?

If 'Boro do go up, and that is by no means nailed on my opinion. Let's see what he does in the Prem, if he gets selected that is.

Too right. Why on earth could someone not have travelled down this morning/last night?

Might be the best side available for selection but looks pretty dreadful to me.
