Lancaster Rover Posted January 30, 2016 Posted January 30, 2016 Harrying defenders, winning free kicks, breaking with pace. Long time since we heard those phrases.

Backroom trueblue Posted January 30, 2016 Backroom Posted January 30, 2016 Is this the start of our season??
RevidgeBlue Posted January 30, 2016 Posted January 30, 2016 Good reaction from the players so far. Wasn't expecting that.
G Somerset Rover Posted January 30, 2016 Posted January 30, 2016 Sounds like Ward is playing very well. Duffy could struggle to get back in.
yorkblue Posted January 30, 2016 Posted January 30, 2016 Good to see Watt generating his own chances.
Stuart Posted January 30, 2016 Posted January 30, 2016 Is this the start of our season??Let's see what our first league game brings.I hope nobody at the club thinks that we don't need some new players this window in the back of a win against Oxford.
VinjayV4 Posted January 30, 2016 Posted January 30, 2016 Watt a man, Watt a man, Watt a man, Watt a mighty good man, Gotta say it again now...
LewisF Posted January 30, 2016 Posted January 30, 2016 Sounds like Ward is playing very well. Duffy could struggle to get back in.yeah it seems as though both our debutants are having great games.
perthblue02 Posted January 30, 2016 Posted January 30, 2016 Sounds like we would walk League 2 , something to look forward to
AllRoverAsia Posted January 30, 2016 Posted January 30, 2016 BBC text is miles behind pathetic isnt it
Doug Posted January 30, 2016 Posted January 30, 2016 Good to see Watt generating his own chances. Should make the next team on current form
LewisF Posted January 30, 2016 Posted January 30, 2016 Good to see Watt generating his own chances. If he and Graham can create chances for each other, then who's to say that we'll be worse off without Rhodes? Lambert's tactics seem to bypass the midfield (defender hoofs it up to striker, striker holds on until the other players catch up) so this partnership could well be a good one. Pleasing to see Jackaon ticking all the boxes thus far too
davulsukur Posted January 30, 2016 Posted January 30, 2016 Say Watt......? You Watt, you Watt, you Watt you Watt you Watt!
doctorryan Posted January 30, 2016 Posted January 30, 2016 Sounds like we would walk League 2 , something to look forward to
Darwen Rover 007 Posted January 30, 2016 Posted January 30, 2016 I'm at the game, not seen us as fluid in attack for a while; Watt has been a bit patchy but his finish was spot on from what I could see... RW might as well not be playing Spurr has been very good Grant excellent Conway needs something to get his confidence back and Marshall adds class to general play
yeti-dog Posted January 30, 2016 Posted January 30, 2016 Is it really writing off the new signings or the other dross in the team? Watt might turn out brilliant but if he provides a killer pass for a player who can't score goals then we are back to square 1 and we don't have a prolific striker to call on for some hope. How are we playing anyway? Well, safe to say it's a notch above what we've been doing recently (granted against a lower league side but you can only beat what's in front of you) And Stuart, that first half is a great example of the dangers of writing of new signings prematurely. The first goal comes from a penalty gained by a new signing and shortly afterwards, bugger me a second goal, again from a new signing!!
Backroom Tom Posted January 30, 2016 Backroom Posted January 30, 2016 Not sure there's any way that half could have gone better for Lambert Two new strikers link up to win a penalty and the stand in penalty scores his third of the season from the spot then the striker we brought in yesterday bags what sounds like a cracker Job not done yet but great stuff
