ABBEY Posted January 29, 2016 Posted January 29, 2016 Not surprising since their fans are just as idiotic as Rovers supporters, wanting a successful manager out (Curbishley) because they were bored with top 10 finishes in the Premier League and wanted to "go to the next level". Shades of Sam Allardyce and his style of football with our lot. GET OVER ALLARDYCE FFS!! PATHETIC ...WAKY CHUFFING WAKY HES GONE AND HE AINT COMING BACK....

Veevs Posted January 29, 2016 Posted January 29, 2016 Dang a player to actually be excited about.. that's something new.. Last time we signed anyone capable and willing to run at players?
J*B Posted January 29, 2016 Posted January 29, 2016 Right Tony, what we're thinking is you up top in a front three with Graham and Rhodes...
Reedy You're A Star Posted January 29, 2016 Posted January 29, 2016 Right Tony, what we're thinking is you up top in a front three with Graham and Rhodes... Or.. Tony, Jordan won't be here long. You're gonna be the main man if you sign..
booth Posted January 29, 2016 Posted January 29, 2016 I thought this lad might partner up well with Rhodes, feck.
VinjayV4 Posted January 30, 2016 Posted January 30, 2016 One of Watt's talents apparently... http://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/row-zed/charltons-tony-watt-expert-comes-5270246
oldjamfan1 Posted January 30, 2016 Posted January 30, 2016 Or by the Kinks even In TS's defence it is one of those songs where the cover is better known than the original, which if memory serves was a Kinks b side (to Autumn Almanac?). Bruce Foxton has a dreadful voice.

Bruce Foxton has a dreadful voice. It was a " B" side in the US and Europe. Album track in the UK.
FGS5635 Posted January 30, 2016 Posted January 30, 2016 Fair play to watt. Against some resistance he has charged forward and powered the ball home. Lets hope he conducts himself the right way and scores with plenty frequency.
pick32 Posted January 30, 2016 Posted January 30, 2016 Brown + Koita + Varney = 62 appearances 0 goals Watt = 1 appearance 1 goal
Veevs Posted January 30, 2016 Posted January 30, 2016 Brown + Koita + Varney = 62 appearances 0 goals Watt = 1 appearance 1 goal He also laid on the pass for the penalty. Beginning to wonder that for a confident sod like Watt being the main striker is PLs plan, make a young lad with bags of potential the main striker and stick an experienced head next to him (Newell/Shearer Graham/Watt.. a lower quality combination but I can see some comparisons between the two partnerships).

Never thought of it like that but if their partnership is a tenth of what you're comparing it to, it will still be marvellous!
Lancaster Rover Posted January 30, 2016 Posted January 30, 2016 Fair way off but I am really looking forward to Watt playing against the Dingles, that sort of aggressive, cocky, confident player is exactly what we needed against them earlier in the year. Somebody to wind them up.
Mike Graham Posted January 30, 2016 Posted January 30, 2016 Watts is our new cult player, immense today. Tony Watts Watts Watts Tony Watts Watts Watts
bluebruce Posted January 30, 2016 Posted January 30, 2016 One of Watt's talents apparently... http://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/row-zed/charltons-tony-watt-expert-comes-5270246 I was reluctant to click this when I saw the link itself said 'charltons tony watt expert comes'. Fair way off but I am really looking forward to Watt playing against the Dingles, that sort of aggressive, cocky, confident player is exactly what we needed against them earlier in the year. Somebody to wind them up. You don't need to wind up when you've got Watts.
garnersfags Posted January 30, 2016 Posted January 30, 2016 Fair play to watt. Against some resistance he has charged forward and powered the ball home. Lets hope he conducts himself the right way and scores with plenty frequency. That's my current fave. Wattage is he? He could be the joule in Lambert's crown if he sorts his wattitude issues. Here til Tuesday.....
LewisF Posted January 30, 2016 Posted January 30, 2016 To the tune of David Watts "I wish I could be like Tony Watt, da da da da da daa daa daa"

oldjamfan1 Posted January 30, 2016 Posted January 30, 2016 To the tune of David Watts "I wish I could be like Tony Watt, da da da da da daa daa daa" Great idea my friend (my username gives away the fact that I was always going to agree with you on that one) but I suspect we will have to make do with "You Watt, you Watt, you Watt, you Watt you Watt"......
Mike Graham Posted January 30, 2016 Posted January 30, 2016 He generated a lot of support from the Rovers fans today. He is a bright spark, possibly our nuclear option. We need to make sure we don't (l)amp balls up to him.
oldjamfan1 Posted January 30, 2016 Posted January 30, 2016 Watt said he really enjoyed himself today and that he hopes we get a Ohm draw in the next round.
Mike Graham Posted January 30, 2016 Posted January 30, 2016 He was poles apart from his predecessor. Positive rather than negative......apparently a big AC-DC fan.
yoda Posted January 30, 2016 Posted January 30, 2016 He was poles apart from his predecessor. Positive rather than negative......apparently a big AC-DC fan. He could become a magnet for big clubs
