This needs to be done. The way things stand at the moment we need the dosh to be able to strengthen a couple of other positions more than we need Rhodes back in the fold.

I really hope it is true and Rovers get him sold to a Premier League team. Leaving Middlesbrough in limbo would bring me immense satisfaction.

You'd hope Rovers had the sense to realise that we still have to play Middlesbrough twice as part of our survival bid and letting Rhodes go there when other, bigger clubs from the Premier League are interested would be a big disadvantage to us.

A couple of Middlesbrough based friends know Steve Gibson and they tell me he is not a man to mess about with. After all the angst it would be ridiculous if the deal didn't go through now.
