[Archived] Rhodes To Boro

I've accepted he's gone (and in the long term we'll could be better rebuilding without him), so it would make me laugh if he went elsewhere other than Boro whose fans think they are Barcelona the way they go on.

Bidding war should = more cash to Rovers

Don't think we will get more cash.

We accepted an offer. No club will offer more than that as they know we will accept that price.

The only one who gets more cash from more bidders is mr Rhodes

Big news at last: Jordan Rhodes deal off

Our very own John Percy has some breaking news on Jordan Rhodes:

John_Percy_2417472j.PNG"Jordan Rhodes's proposed £9m move to Middlesbrough now appears to be OFF, in a shattering blow to the Blackburn striker.Boro chairman Steve Gibson has had a dramatic change of heart and the deal is now set to be scrapped despite Rhodes agreeing terms and passing a medical.

"Rhodes met with Boro officials on Saturday and was poised to officially sign today but has been informed the move to the Riverside Stadium is off.

"Boro had agreed to pay Blackburn an initial £9m and then a further £2m plus £2m in instalments."

That's put the cat amongst the pigeons. I suspect they're trying to cut the fee.

Hope he's moving to Sunderland or Newcastle to wind the Boro fans up, hopefully this isn't the Boro board playing clever to get a cheaper deal at the last moment

Feel uncomfortable about this, feel Boro will come in with £2m less an hour before deadline tomorrow knowing we have planned for him to leave

Jim White

Jordan Rhodes tells me he is "baffled and disappointed" by @Boro seemingly calling off his £11m move from Blackburn.

Some games going on here I hope the owners famous stubbornness prevails and we don't accept a lower bid now
