Lancaster Rover Posted February 1, 2016 Posted February 1, 2016 That Callum Lucas account looks very suspicious, most Sky accounts are verified with blue ticks.

sambo Posted February 1, 2016 Posted February 1, 2016 It's a real shame that Rhodes' time here is ending like this. Agreed. I loved the guy, borderline worshipped him!
frosty Posted February 1, 2016 Posted February 1, 2016 That account that tweeted about Watford has 2 tweets and about 50 followers!
AdamRochina Posted February 1, 2016 Posted February 1, 2016 Should sign in time..so leaves us with hardly any then? If he does sign for another club it's another medical and that right?
BlueMonday Posted February 1, 2016 Posted February 1, 2016 Sky Sports reporting, JR travelling to Middlesborough to re start talks.
RevidgeBlue Posted February 1, 2016 Posted February 1, 2016 From Nicko Jordan Rhodes. Meeting with Lambert at Blackburn was very brief. Basically shown the door and sent home. More idiotic behaviour from Lambert should a deal somewhere else not come off today. Still has to get the best out of him should he come back.
Lancaster Rover Posted February 1, 2016 Posted February 1, 2016 Should sign in time..so leaves us with hardly any then? If he does sign for another club it's another medical and that right? Medicals aren't quite the lengthy process some believe, its basically like having house surveys done. You get a choice of quick and cheap, mid range or detailed.
USABlue Posted February 1, 2016 Posted February 1, 2016 I wouldn't be surprised if this was Gibson's doing for the way in which Venky's have dealt with them in the past? That was the first thing that went through my mind, payback for them jerking him around. Funnily the one I feel bad for is Lambert, his plans are now likely screwed up.
briansol Posted February 1, 2016 Posted February 1, 2016 Agreed. I loved the guy, borderline worshipped him! Loved Rhodes, but needs to go now. Lambert and the club needs the chance to rebuild. Rhodes hanging around for the next train out will make it hard for both parties.
Speedie Dived Posted February 1, 2016 Posted February 1, 2016 More idiotic behaviour from Lambert should a deal somewhere else not come off today. Still has to get the best out of him should he come back. Irrelevant of fee, it's looking like Lambert doesn't fancy Rhodes as a footballer. I don't think he will be trying to get him back in the side if he is stuck with him.
den Posted February 1, 2016 Posted February 1, 2016 More idiotic behaviour from Lambert should a deal somewhere else not come off today. Still has to get the best out of him should he come back. Most pro footballers would tell you that if you're not wanted, you move on. Either that or sit on a contract.
Mercer Posted February 1, 2016 Posted February 1, 2016 More idiotic behaviour from Lambert should a deal somewhere else not come off today. Still has to get the best out of him should he come back. I would have done exactly the same. Gibson's stance has probably been that's the deal, take it or leave it. If Rhodes has an ounce of sense he will take it and then fire his agents who, IMV, have done him no favours and to a degree destroyed the goodwill around Rhodes.
oldjamfan1 Posted February 1, 2016 Posted February 1, 2016 More idiotic behaviour from Lambert should a deal somewhere else not come off today. Nixon cannot possibly know the circumstances of any conversation Rhodes might have had with Lambert during his brief visit to Brockhall today.

If Rhodes has an ounce of sense he will take it and then fire his agents who, IMV, have done him no favours and to a degree destroyed the goodwill around Rhodes. He should definitely be looking for a better agent, seems like his current one has made a major balls'up with this transfer, he might just get out of jail this time around but any future dealings would need to be handled much much better.

Indeed, unless he has Brockhall bugged he is probably just putting his own spin on things.
Al Posted February 1, 2016 Posted February 1, 2016 Indeed, unless he has Brockhall bugged he is probably just putting his own spin on things. Doesn't he always. If he gets one right it's a coincidence.
Guest Posted February 1, 2016 Posted February 1, 2016 More idiotic behaviour from Lambert should a deal somewhere else not come off today. Still has to get the best out of him should he come back. But isn't it nice to have a manager with an identity for once? I also think that it's important that our other players are fully aware of the message he's sending out. He clearly has plans, and they won't be messed up by someone who thinks he can just walk back in if other clubs say no. Nevertheless, this deal will happen today, and we'll come out the better for it. Lambert has to put his own stamp on the club, and he can only do that with his own players and not Bowyer's (or Kean's).
Norbert Rassragr Posted February 1, 2016 Posted February 1, 2016 And not for the 1st time Sharpysharps.
onlyonejackwalker Posted February 1, 2016 Posted February 1, 2016 Anyone desperate for this deal not to happen and for Rhodes to stay at the Rovers?
BlueMonday Posted February 1, 2016 Posted February 1, 2016 More idiotic behaviour from Lambert should a deal somewhere else not come off today. Still has to get the best out of him should he come back. I wouldn't believe that fat Journo if told me what day it was. Could just as easily have been very cordial with both agreeing that JR should be available if transfer negotiations need to re commence.
G Somerset Rover Posted February 1, 2016 Posted February 1, 2016 Anyone desperate for this deal not to happen and for Rhodes to stay at the Rovers? Not really IF we can bring or two in. He's made his bed now. Some however seem happy for him to leave with no further incomings. That would be madness.
Backroom Tom Posted February 1, 2016 Author Backroom Posted February 1, 2016 More idiotic behaviour from Lambert should a deal somewhere else not come off today. Still has to get the best out of him should he come back. Brilliant behaviour I think personally but can see it from both sides
Guest Posted February 1, 2016 Posted February 1, 2016 The sale of Rhodes brings to an end any connection with the Kean era (in terms of players signed) David Raya
sharpysharps Posted February 1, 2016 Posted February 1, 2016 And not for the 1st time Sharpysharps. I think he can sometimes have decent info but to hang on his every word like some folk do on Twitter is a bit naive to say the least
Speedie Dived Posted February 1, 2016 Posted February 1, 2016 Brilliant behaviour I think personally but can see it from both sides I am with you Tom. I have stuck up for Bowyer, but he certainly would not have handled it this way. Lambert making it clear Rhodes has no future here, force him to lower his demands.
