Absolute joke - greed of those involved means we have no time to spend any money (hope I am wrong there)

You expect it with a big Premier League club thinking they run the show but either Rhodes or Boro or a combination of the two have put us in a poor position.

At least we conduct ourselves well as a club now, and can be disgusted at others.

My head is aching...what a fookin farce this is.

The cheeky Boro Ham shankers want our best player to help them win promotion while we battle relegation while they pay the sum of sweet FA until summer?

They have more front than Blackpool promenade!!!!!! :o

Boro Haram lol

If the money isn't paid until the summer surely Venkys could put the cash forward. Or take out a loan and for those worried about Middlesbrough not paying up (which they will) that would be for the high courts to deal with. Not to mention they have some valuable playing assets...

Some folk talking like Steve Gibson is a dodgy character, well everything I've ever read/heard about him says he's a very decent bloke, who

has been brilliant for Boro.

According to Google, Brockhall to the Riverside is 2h 5m. Sorry Jordan, that is takin' the pee sunshine. You could've been up there, signed, done the snaps with the shirt, come back to get your Lynx Africa out of the your locker at Brockhall and flooked off back up to Middlesbrough all in time to be sat down watching 'Operation Ouch!' on CBBC. No wonder Lambert wants him gone.

I've been saying it's our only option since about 2013, whilst getting repeatedly slaughtered on here for doing so. Lambert says it once and everybody (but the ones who stubbornly refuse to admit they were wrong) suddenly agrees.

Why do you have to seel your star striker to rebuild the team wasnt everybody told that the club had money.

Dont understand this pay later thing? Surely if we SELL him today, we have to take the sale to the books THIS year, to do anything else means he hasn't been sold (inferring he's been loaned)

Not sure of football rules in the sense of what minimum initial payment is required.

In accounting terms, transactions go into the books at the point of sale / purchase and therefore as income / expenditure and profit / loss IRRESPECTIVE of whether money has been received for the sale or paid for the purchase. You then have an asset in the balance sheet (debtor for monies owed to you) or a liability (creditor for monies you owe). Hence the old adage that 'cash is king' - you only take 'cash' to the bank and not 'unrealised' income/profit (sales not paid for).
