We're not going to spend the money tonight so what difference does it make??!!!

Rhodes he wants to go. He doesn't suit the way Lambert wants to play and the funds will be used to strengthen the squad as a whole.

I'm glad it's over.

What if the funds aren't there in the summer how will you judge it then.

Enjoyed it whilst it lasted but the last 3 days have left a very sour taste. Desperate to leave and he's got his wish.

So the fee is £11 million in total. Love to find out what changed over night.

If that's true then a reduction of £2. Lambert must have really wanted rid.

Blackburn Rovers can confirm that Jordan Rhodes has finally agreed personal terms with Middlesbrough and has joined the Teesside club.

Finally has to be a dig... right?

Didn't dare post until it was done and dusted in case I jinxed it.

Think we will be a better all round team without him, but thanks Jordan for all those goals.

Pace is so much for a forward and our newbies look much quicker!

At least Rhodes had the good grace to wait until all of the kids had turned over their calendars before going but what a way to put everyone through the mill.

Over to Lambert now. The target is 3 players reaching double figures for his "team is better than one goalscorer" / "goals are pointless" spiel to have any creedence.

Jordan gone? Cue stream of optimism before Boro, Hull, Fulham, Derby league games and WH/Liverpool cup game. Will that mood be the same then?

I will say the team spirit will be much improved now that 11 will be playing everyweek

Surely more points / goals scored in total would fully justify it?
