I think the centre halves launching it above his head was more a mixture of lack of ball-playing quality, and midfielders being invisible than a purposeful exercise. The commentators at Charlton suggested Wards distribution from the back was a noticeable improvement.

Anyway enjoy your day out in Boro, the locals are usually pretty friendly to be fair. Some nice pubs in Thirsk too, as the ground is a fair way from town.

not as far as Thirsk is! The ground's actually in North Ormesby and not in Middlesbrough itself. Ayresome wasn't exactly central either.

Not in my experience they aren't. Some of the worst thuggery I've ever witnessed has been at their place - on more than one occasion. They make the Dingles look like the Von Trapps.

Is there any other view? Negatives outweigh the positives 50/1 ;)

Well I thought it obvious that it was a personal view, hence the take down

;)

;)

*screams internally*

got a bit carried away with the not's there

calm down, just a typo

I chose Thirsk, as it's on the way and a decent place to stop for some lunch, and almost all the pubs anywhere close to the ground are home fans only.

Honestly never experienced that, and been to Boro loads of times. We also have one of our better away records at Boro too.

Forgot to note a quote from the press conference I just posted about how it's 'great to be wanted again'. He does seem to love peddling the idea that poor little Jordan wasn't wanted, despite repeatedly expressing a desire to leave.

Edit - I only glanced through parts of it so it may have been misquoted slightly when someone told me about it. Either way he has spoken lots about being wanted, which gives the impression he wasn't/didn't feel wanted here.

Nice guy, don't hold the transfer against him, want him to get a decent reception from the Rovers fans.

But he's now the enemy. I hope he crashes and burns at Boro.

Ditto. If he does nothing there it further justifies the sale. Plus, I don't feel comfortable wishing him success at a club I'm not particularly fond of.

Nothing wrong with anything Rhodes said at his press conference tbf. Spoke highly of Rovers, complimented the training facilities, said the fans were good to him (he obviously doesn't read this forum ;) ) and wished us success for the future. Most of his comments about being wanted seem to stem mainly from Boro's interest in the summer rather than Rovers not wanting him, though considering Shelfy and Bowyer tried to get rid of him in the summer he'd be justified to mean it in the latter way too.

He's certainly the enemy on Saturday so can't see any logic in cheering him. I don't really care whether he's successful there or not. It would be ridiculous to boo him though when the likes of Phil Jones and an average player like Matt Derbyshire (latter case no boos but chanting his name when he played against Rovers just for being local) didn't get that kind of reception.

I think it's called looking after your own,

When you can change allegiance at the drop of a hat it would be difficult to understand
