chor808 Posted April 18, 2016 Posted April 18, 2016 Indeed but we mods have to read it fully, warts and all. Understand Mike but to close it on the eve on him banging a couple in against the Dingles is bad form. Maybe that would unite a few on here, then again no chance!

Husky Posted April 19, 2016 Posted April 19, 2016 Agubata Odinaka Ordinaryman001 That boy Rhodes is on fire...a Boro legend in the making?...if this game ends like this, we are surely going up #bbcfootball
tomphil Posted April 19, 2016 Posted April 19, 2016 He was always going to click again, just a matter of time. He's the perfect man for that job.
Kie_BRFC Posted April 19, 2016 Posted April 19, 2016 Knew it was a blessing not being able to change my picture. He scores when he wants!
Athlete Posted April 19, 2016 Posted April 19, 2016 For all those clowns who thought it was a good idea to sell a twenty goal a season striker you obviously know nothing about football..
rigger Posted April 19, 2016 Posted April 19, 2016 For all those clowns who thought it was a good idea to sell a twenty goal a season striker you obviously know nothing about football.. That's a broad statement. The only obvious thing is that you probably don't know anything about the people you are writing about!
tomphil Posted April 19, 2016 Posted April 19, 2016 For all those clowns who thought it was a good idea to sell a twenty goal a season striker you obviously know nothing about football.. No mate we are a far better TEAM now without him. Surprised you haven't noticed
Moderation Lead K-Hod Posted April 19, 2016 Moderation Lead Posted April 19, 2016 For all those clowns who thought it was a good idea to sell a twenty goal a season striker you obviously know nothing about football..To be fair, with the money on offer, if we had a chance to make ourselves a better team, it's something we had no choice with. Granted it's only been loans, also worth noting we're in a similar place in the league now to when he left....
Gav Posted April 19, 2016 Posted April 19, 2016 Rhodes goal means the dingles dropped 2 points at home, thats good enough for me He was here on borrowed time, we'll probably not see a goalscorer like Rhodes at the club again for many years, an absolute goal machine that just wasn't a team player according to some. Brown runs his socks off, without the goals, Graham has more to his game but no goals, give me a Rhodes all day long, the lad scores for fun. But lets face it, he was wasted here, he needed a move and good luck to him, a true professional, never moaned despite the owners fooking him about.
den Posted April 19, 2016 Posted April 19, 2016 For the clowns that suggested that we wouldn't score goals without him, because we absolutely relied on him for goals - that argument was put to bed some time ago. Weve actually scored 20 goals in the 18 games since he left, compared to only 14 goals in the 18 games prior to him leaving. That's 6 more goals without him and hopefully £11m in the bank. It was a no brainier for us, in our position, to refuse that money. If it's invested properly we will be better far off than we could have ever been by keeping hold of him and struggling by. Apart from that, Lambert et al know the best way to improve a teams performances doesn't include a non footballing forward. It didn't work for us and it won't work for others either. The way forward for this club now is to bring in two or three strikers who can play the way Graham plays. Strikers who will actually provide service to their team mates, Not by using strikers who can do nothing for their teammates.
Stuart Posted April 20, 2016 Posted April 20, 2016 Aye den. Things have been great without him. It's been goals galore. The excitement has been palpable. He still scored 11 of those 18 goals in the worst Rovers squad of the last two decades and his worst run in 5 years. Nothing to do with selling Gestede and replacing him in the side with Brown, or cutting off his supply by selling Cairney and moving Marshall to right back and hanging him out to dry. He would never have done anything working with better players, e.g. with Graham and Gomez, not a chance. Fun fact 1: Rhodes has scored more goals against Burnley this season than Rovers. Fun fact 2: Despite a crap start at Boro, much to den's delight, he has still scored more league goals for them than any Rovers' player has all season, except... Rhodes. Clowns?

Good God man give up on your non-stop tirade against Rhodes just to justify your position on him. The above highlighted comments are plain stupid! He's gone and thanks Jordan for keeping us in the Championship. I do by the way think 'Boro are beginning to appreciate him. He got them a precious point last night after doing the same for Rovers many many times. Fact. The Jury is still out on whether we are actually a better team without him.............time will tell.

MORE LIKE TEARS OF A CLOWN ...ITS BEEN AMAZING SINCE HE LEFT THE PLAYERS BROUGHT IN HAVE BEEN AMAZING. On a side note the dingle in the office is going mad about Rhodes and I have not spoke to him yet .
Moderation Lead K-Hod Posted April 20, 2016 Moderation Lead Posted April 20, 2016 In fairness to Den, 20 goals in 18 games without, versus 14 in 18 games with. The BRFCC hindsight crew started chiming in after we didn't score at home at the weekend or whenever JR scores for 'Boro. I really don't see that we had much choice but to shift him, like with Gestede tbh. Though granted, Rhodes conducted himself with a lot more class than Gestede did....
