riverside returns Posted February 5, 2016 Posted February 5, 2016 Have you never asked for a pay rise? The other point he was making was that it was bizarre for him to be a 'deputy' when there was no one in a more senior position. I agree with your sentiments. In this case, Hunt asked for the remuneration commensurate with his assumed position as against the one he was hired for. He had after all assumed the role of MD as a result of the debacle.

tomphil Posted February 5, 2016 Posted February 5, 2016 You mean the same Paul hunt who whilst advising to sack kean (credit for that) also added the caveat that he should be promoted/pay rise etc. He's on the list because for the latter alone showing he was just another self serving keaner. I'm sure Hunt could have been a capable administrator but I was less than impressed whenever I heard him speak on the radio etc. I will forgive him however as he was just plonked in office for the sake of having someone there and was probably sidelined like all the others whilst the agents & coco ran the show and chaos reigned in India. Credit to him for putting his concerns down in that letter but he also knew he was signing his own death warrant, he wanted out and it was a very clever way of going about it. I'm sure if he'd got his payrise and was told to be quiet he would have been.
matt83 Posted February 5, 2016 Posted February 5, 2016 Have you never asked for a pay rise? The other point he was making was that it was bizarre for him to be a 'deputy' when there was no one in a more senior position. I think there's the world of difference between asking for a pay rise (he may have been entitled to one being the deputy of no one) and claiming it had been decided by the board that he should be promoted/get a pay rise when no such discussions took place. An action purely to further his own career by duping weak owners. (Or at least that's my understanding of how it happened). Anyway in the grand scheme of things hunt was a small fish in the list of wrong uns we've had down here recently but if that's how it happened in my book he's not in the same league as some of the wrong doers but still worthy of contempt.
Pedro Posted February 5, 2016 Posted February 5, 2016 Very strange interview with Lambert today in the Lancashire Telegraph about his take on the Shaw departure. Basically Lambert says he knew nothing about Shaw's impending departure until the club put the statement out, but more importantly that Shaw's departure will have no impact on his job. When asked if he now reports directly to India now that Shaw has gone he said: 'I'll have the same lines of communication I've always had except for Derek' 'There's no need to have stress. It's the great world of football we live, you're never quite sure what's round the corner. but there's no problem there' It seems a strange thing to say. Lambert wouldn't confirm or deny who he reports to now that his theoretical boss in Shaw has gone. Why not just say 'yes I am now reporting directly to India' or 'no, there's someone else I work with who reports back to India'? http://www.lancashiretelegraph.co.uk/sport/14256377.Blackburn_Rovers_boss_did_not_see_Derek_Shaw_s_departure_coming/ Do you not read it as all lines of communication have always been open to him, except for Derek now he is gone?
Craigman Posted March 29, 2016 Posted March 29, 2016 Well he is still a director according to the Companies House website. I thought that filings for a departure of Director had to be concluded within a month.
tomphil Posted March 29, 2016 Posted March 29, 2016 There's no one there to do the deed now though or maybe he's just left himself on the payroll until someone from accounts actually notices
Backroom Tom Posted March 29, 2016 Backroom Posted March 29, 2016 Going back a bit I liked Paul Hunt, seemed on the side of the fans and wanted to make sure the owners knew the concerns of the fans.
Backroom DE. Posted March 29, 2016 Backroom Posted March 29, 2016 Not a surprise he didn't last too long, then!

He probably felt he deserved a payrise due to the stress of having to work for Venkys. Nobody would say it was "cashing in" when Williams/Finn negotiated severance packages and still have a NDA. Definitely know Williams has one and Kamy said it hasn't expired.
Boz Posted May 13, 2016 Posted May 13, 2016 And form TM01 is finally submitted to Companies House, terminating Derek.
JHRover Posted May 13, 2016 Posted May 13, 2016 Does anyone know what the company rules or FA rules are with regards to the day to day operations. I imagine that it is unprecedented in the history of English football, possibly world football, for a professional football club competing in the top 2 divisions of the league structure, to function with only 1 operational director. Bob Coar does nothing except take his free tickets to turn up to games. Gandhi Babu doesn't count because he's based on the other side of the world and never comes to Ewood. So there's 1 man on the board who works on a daily basis at the club. Is this even allowed? And if so does anyone know of any other club in history that has done this?

Well whatever Ghandhi Babu does (I am still not 100% that he actually exists) Mr and Mrs D like him, after appearing on the scene just a couple of months before the takeover and being made director of two of the v's companies, in Feb this year he was made director of a company that does not involve the brothers just Mrs , Mr D and another chap. https://www.zaubacorp.com/company-directors/SRIVENK-INVESTMENTS-AND-FINANCE-PRIVATELIMITED/U65999MH1987PTC023309
tomphil Posted May 13, 2016 Posted May 13, 2016 So maybe that's where the Jordan Rhodes money ended up

I've wondered several times about the legality of this. I know a lot depends on the kind of company it is, in terms of business law but I thought FA rules had stuff about board structure and so on.
Jock Posted October 5, 2016 Posted October 5, 2016 Any truth that Degsy is taking Rovers to a tribunal? If he is and he wrote his own contract he should be ok

Dunnfc Posted October 5, 2016 Posted October 5, 2016 Excellent just opposite my site. Can I attend that day and maybe give live updates to brfcc?
MGAndy Posted October 6, 2016 Posted October 6, 2016 Excellent just opposite my site. Can I attend that day and maybe give live updates to brfcc? Are you going to attend the hearing?
Dunnfc Posted October 6, 2016 Posted October 6, 2016 Are you going to attend the hearing? Got the day off of today. Do i just turn up randomly? No experience of doing so in the past but i'd love to hear this.
mark1875 Posted October 7, 2016 Posted October 7, 2016 Got the day off of today. Do i just turn up randomly? No experience of doing so in the past but i'd love to hear this. Ring up first and check that it is open to the public and if it is, you will be allowed in providing you turn up before it begins. The Henning Berg case was open to the public, so i'd expect this to be the same.
Kamy100 Posted October 7, 2016 Posted October 7, 2016 I checked yesterday. This is a preliminary hearing and not a final hearing. At present it is open to the public but the either of the parties could decide to approach the judge and ask for it to be made private just before it starts. The final hearing (if it goes that far) will be public.
McClarky Posted October 7, 2016 Posted October 7, 2016 Surely they'll settle out of court. Shaw must have some dirt to fling around if it goes to trial.

Now is there a BRFCC flag i can take
