Rover_Shaun Posted February 5, 2016 Posted February 5, 2016 I'm a fan of pure skill over power so for me Bergkamp v Leicester is one of my favourites of all time The icing on the cake of a great hat trick Best goal I ever witnessed live was le tissiers goal at ewood, dribbles past 2 defenders and just floats the ball over flowers, pure genious!
Moderation Lead K-Hod Posted February 5, 2016 Moderation Lead Posted February 5, 2016 Best goal I ever witnessed live was le tissiers goal at ewood, dribbles past 2 defenders and just floats the ball over flowers, pure genious! Absolutely! Le Tissier himself has said on a few occasions that was the best goal he ever scored!
Rover_Shaun Posted February 5, 2016 Posted February 5, 2016 Not volleys or owt but the goalden days when we scored for fun Le Socks @ 23mins the pic.......we beat forest 5-0 away too
Rover_Shaun Posted February 5, 2016 Posted February 5, 2016 Gally at 50 secs......we went top. Arsenal won the league
Iceman Posted February 5, 2016 Posted February 5, 2016 this from Bergkamp was outstanding.. One of the best for me
BlueMonday Posted February 5, 2016 Posted February 5, 2016 Absolutely! Le Tissier himself has said on a few occasions that was the best goal he ever scored! Not to split hairs KHOD, but Le Tiss was on sky sports last weekend and said it was a great goal, but he couldn't call it his best as they didn't win the game. Which actually shows a bit of class. But regardless, fantastic goal.

BlueMonday Posted February 5, 2016 Posted February 5, 2016 I think he was essentially saying it was his best goal, Khod, but because they lost, the goal was somehow down graded in his opinion.
frosty Posted February 5, 2016 Posted February 5, 2016 Sticking with the Bergkamp theme, love this one. Last minute of the 98 WC quarter final v Argentina. The Dutch commentary makes it even better too.
speeeeeeedie Posted February 5, 2016 Author Posted February 5, 2016 Was sat in a direct line behind the goal where this went in. Rocket doesn't do it justice. I was right behind that Baz too, good job there was netting or it'd have took my face clean off! Me as well. TV doesn't do it justice. It was going at some speed.
speeeeeeedie Posted February 5, 2016 Author Posted February 5, 2016 The Bergkamp goal Against Argentina is brilliant. I was just about to post it. Simon Cox's for Forest was similar https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=p3fglxlMmuI He's got form too. He scored this one for Swindon (highlights start at 0:40); https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Eoj1pi8cY1Y
BlueMonday Posted February 5, 2016 Posted February 5, 2016 Best goal in the history of football at 2m 40secs.
Backroom Mike E Posted February 5, 2016 Backroom Posted February 5, 2016 The 3 best touches in 3 seconds I've ever seen. Pillock but bloody good goal.
JBiz Posted February 8, 2016 Posted February 8, 2016 The football in that highlight reel... Amazing. The first goal is my favourite.
davulsukur Posted February 8, 2016 Posted February 8, 2016 The 3 best touches in 3 seconds I've ever seen. Pillock but bloody good goal. https://youtu.be/jcF2gk2pnUI Total headcase but the lad is unreal at football.
yoda Posted February 8, 2016 Posted February 8, 2016 The last 2 goals are as good as any, anywhere, fantastic control, equal too if not better than the Suarez goal
Moderation Lead K-Hod Posted February 8, 2016 Moderation Lead Posted February 8, 2016 This guy was one of my favourite players. The Italian Alan Shearer, but left-footed and with an Aussie accent owing to him growing up over there, having been born in Italy. (A highly competent cricketer by all accounts as well!!) Ladies and gentlemen- Christian Vieri.
Stuart Posted February 8, 2016 Posted February 8, 2016 ?Suarez. Your post just nipped in before mine. Can't stand the bloke. I'd have booked him as well.

Ladies and gentlemen- Christian Vieri. Weren't we linked with him a few years back too? During the Kean era if memory serves. Just done a search, it was 2009 under Allardyce. He spent some time on trial with us.

I suppose I'm biased as a fellow leftie, but he was one of my favourite players at the time. (Owing to Football Italia as well of course!!)

Could also put him in the unfulfilled potential thread. Check some of his goals out, lovely left foot
