J*B Posted March 12, 2016 Posted March 12, 2016 Pick whatever you want for me mate, just want to make sure you've got a graphic designer making them up and they're not being done on Paint or something.

Mike Graham Posted March 13, 2016 Author Posted March 13, 2016 Pick whatever you want for me mate, just want to make sure you've got a graphic designer making them up and they're not being done on Paint or something.I think Ben is looking at the place in Skem who produced the JW with the Premiership Trophy flag which is ace quality. One of them will definately show off our proud history - this has been suggested both on here & social media. Another suggestion has been blue and white halves with a Lancs rose in the middle, either that or the club badge... Open to further suggestions and designs Both sound bob on to me Ben.
Ben-2000 Posted March 14, 2016 Posted March 14, 2016 This one seems to be popular... was posted on a Rovers Facebook page following suggestions. Any thoughts?
arbitro Posted March 14, 2016 Posted March 14, 2016 Excellent idea with the Small Town logo, sums up what we are about in my opinion. The old Third Division Champions Trophy from 1975 isn't on the silhouettes of the other trophies.
Moderation Lead K-Hod Posted March 14, 2016 Moderation Lead Posted March 14, 2016 This one seems to be popular... was posted on a Rovers Facebook page following suggestions. Any thoughts? Absolutely brilliant!
AndyNeil Posted March 14, 2016 Posted March 14, 2016 I like the principle of it, although would ditch the non descript buildings from the bottom and have the text in blue...
Mike Graham Posted March 14, 2016 Author Posted March 14, 2016 I agree with Andy. As someone not too familiar with Blackburn town I could only name a couple of those buildings
sambo Posted March 14, 2016 Posted March 14, 2016 I agree with Andy. As someone not too familiar with Blackburn town I could only name a couple of those buildings Could maybe instead include pictures of Ewood Park or the JW statue - or maybe even JW lifting aloft the trophy. However, I'm artistically challenged so I'll leave it to the experts! Looks good to me though,.
J*B Posted March 14, 2016 Posted March 14, 2016 Flag looks good. The black text has to be blue. Not sure on all the buildings, is that the ice arena on the left?! I'd just go for real blackburn buildings, with Ewood in the middle. Town Hall, Thwaites(?), Ewood, Cathedral, King Georges. Also text needs to be in the badges font: http://deltafonts.com/blackburn-rovers-f-c-font/
Backroom Mike E Posted March 14, 2016 Backroom Posted March 14, 2016 Anyone think we should include our Lancs Cups on there? Either way, think it's brilliant. Echo the idea above of the writing in blue below the rose instead of buildings.
Baz Posted March 14, 2016 Posted March 14, 2016 This one seems to be popular... was posted on a Rovers Facebook page following suggestions. Any thoughts? Like the idea, but the flag would have to be huge to see the the details. Why not just: 6 x FA Cup Winners 1x Premier League Win Etc... Then at the bottom: "The most successful town club in the world" I don't think we need the 'small town' part, I think thats a bit negative, and Id have the current badge, not the red rose.
mhead Posted March 14, 2016 Posted March 14, 2016 The right message is "Most successful Town Club in the World"....looked this up years ago and its absolutely accurate. Hope all those commenting have either donated or are about to add to the total. We want an internet warrior free thread...try saying that! Lets go for a 3rd flag cos often you only get one bite at this.

If we're chucking two flags at that let's hope they'll do yours as a freebie, is there any top tier stand it could be left draped across?

Lancaster Rover Posted March 15, 2016 Posted March 15, 2016 I thought the Uncle Jack programme from this season with his face printed in blue against a white background was superb, that would make a great flag. Funnily I was taking some pics of an old phone the other day and my screensaver was the big halved flag with the badge in the middle being passed across the BBE, great stuff.
mhead Posted March 15, 2016 Posted March 15, 2016 Can you imagine a relatively thin and long banner saying: MOST SUCCESSFUL TOWN CLUB IN THE WORLD cup cup cup cup cup cup cup cup cup cup cup cup Needs to go on a stand fascia like Tottenham's messages. We have 12 Cups, next town Club has only 5. We are 12th in English League, with Wolves and Forest just above us(they are Cities)
Lancaster Rover Posted March 15, 2016 Posted March 15, 2016 Some of the ideas being forwarded here should be put to Myers, et al. The honours around the fascia boards is a fantastic idea, I'd go one further and fill the concourses with that sort of stuff.

The honours around the fascia boards is a fantastic idea, I'd go one further and fill the concourses with that sort of stuff. They can start with the blank parts on the JW stand (DE side) as I've already suggested on here and by email to Myers. Any bare space is a waste of space.
Mike Graham Posted March 15, 2016 Author Posted March 15, 2016 It would be great if we could have banners and flags permanently hung along the inside of the sides of the BBE. These would be separate from the flags that Ben-2000 is ordering.

Edit- didn't realise they are a city, just checked.
Ben-2000 Posted March 18, 2016 Posted March 18, 2016 Very generous indeed! Yes I think the fundraiser can continue beyond its target! I spoke to the club about this or providing one of their own along with reduced prices for the Huddersfield game, I'm told they are looking into it Delighted to say the club are right behind this initiative and have slashed prices to £10 adults & £2 kids. Well done to the club, particularly Greg Coar & Alan Myers!
