Reedy You're A Star Posted February 21, 2016 Posted February 21, 2016 We were well in it until Steele had a mare and gifted them back into the game. We'll never know what would've happened if we didn't give them a freebie goal at that point. They've been 2 or 3 leagues above us ever since though.

Speedie Dived Posted February 21, 2016 Posted February 21, 2016 Hopefully Lambert apologises to those who went today. They deserved better than having the towel thrown in before kick off. West Ham are a very good side, of course, but with that line up we didn't have a hope in hell. We were winning one nil and then our goalie cocked up.
perthblue02 Posted February 21, 2016 Posted February 21, 2016 Christ that was easy, like a training match
G Somerset Rover Posted February 21, 2016 Posted February 21, 2016 I don't care what anyone says - the performance since THEY went down to 10 men has been nothing short of pathetic and embarrassing.
tkturner Posted February 21, 2016 Posted February 21, 2016 Just goes to show how much emotion is attached to football... We have been well beat today due a number of differing factors, team selection, individual errors, sendings off, etc etc. Ultimately todays fixture was always going to be a big ask for us to progress whether it was West Ham or Liverpool. Our club is a championship outfit and a mid to low championship club for that matter which has a spotlight shone on it when we play much better sides like today. Lets not all lose our minds because today has been a bad day out, we are still on the journey to repair the mistakes of our recent past and I feel we need to stick with Lambert and his ongoing rebuild, the summer is absolutely crucial but I do worry whether Venkys will back him after his comments in the press about winning today and getting them to spend as a result?
rovers11 Posted February 21, 2016 Posted February 21, 2016 A lot of woeful players in our starting 11 let alone our second string! Only Duffy, Marshall, and Lenihan have looked ok.
Salgado Is Still A Hero Posted February 21, 2016 Posted February 21, 2016 Poor show, basically inevitable since the line up was announced
Husky Posted February 21, 2016 Posted February 21, 2016 Good job this guy is a bit like Andy offside Cole or it really would have been an embarrassing score-line.
Backroom DE. Posted February 21, 2016 Backroom Posted February 21, 2016 We were winning one nil and then our goalie cocked up. If the match finished after 20 minutes then that would have been fine. Even if Steele hadn't made that mistake you'd have to be blinkered in the extreme to think we wouldn't have eventually conceded and lost today. West Ham are light years ahead of our strongest team, which makes putting out close to a reserve team even sadder. A 5-1 home loss to West Ham, and people are OK with that. How standards have fallen.
rovers11 Posted February 21, 2016 Posted February 21, 2016 Pleased when the summer comes and we don't have to watch many of those players in a rovers shirt again. I would guess most of those on show today will not be here next season.
imy9 Posted February 21, 2016 Posted February 21, 2016 mate WE have fallen. awful squad at the moment. Payet is a wonderful player.
Mr. E Posted February 21, 2016 Posted February 21, 2016 Not a single one of these embarrassing excuses of players should ever be allowed on a football pitch again. Not just Steele. Everyone who disgraced this club with their presence today.
Al Posted February 21, 2016 Posted February 21, 2016 We were winning one nil and then our goalie cocked up. Didn't last long did it?
T J Hooker Posted February 21, 2016 Posted February 21, 2016 I cant remember the last time we bottled it so badly, pathetic performance from the players and awful team selection and tactics from the manager
Neal Posted February 21, 2016 Posted February 21, 2016 You want to win the fans back? Play a decent side eh? That will well and truly have put people off coming back.
Husky Posted February 21, 2016 Posted February 21, 2016 I don't care what anyone says - the performance since THEY went down to 10 men has been nothing short of pathetic and embarrassing. I must admit it kind of felt like Henley was the one sent off. Still. Only one team can win the cup and Whum will be crying in the not too distant future.

You said we were never in it. We were, that's all. Class showed in the end.
Amo Posted February 21, 2016 Posted February 21, 2016 Another man just skips past Akpan like he isn't there. Seriously, how has the guy been allowed to stay on the pitch this long? An insulting effort. Like I said, he's a disgrace. I can understand if you're beaten for quality but you can never excuse a lack of effort.
AllRoverAsia Posted February 21, 2016 Posted February 21, 2016 I've had more fun watching crabs sh-it on the beach in low tide
G Somerset Rover Posted February 21, 2016 Posted February 21, 2016 Like I said, he's a disgrace. I can understand if you're beaten for quality but you can never excuse a lack of effort. Agreed. As I say, I bet I've had the bigger workout lifting my pint glass to my mouth. Either he's still ill (in which case he shouldn't have played) or he's just taking the @#/?.
Speedie Dived Posted February 21, 2016 Posted February 21, 2016 Didn't last long did it? No it didn't. Would have lasted longer if goalie had made a standard save. Some over the top reactions on here, not sure what people expect. We are 18th in the Champ and played a weaker team due to 11 games in 31 days.
Spalding Rover Posted February 21, 2016 Posted February 21, 2016 I've had more fun watching crabs sh-it on the beach in low tide To be fair that does sound pretty entertaining! rather watch that!
miqaayil Posted February 21, 2016 Posted February 21, 2016 well and truly beaten ....from lineup...we setup to lose...
Husky Posted February 21, 2016 Posted February 21, 2016 Blackburn 1-5 West Ham Mark Lawrenson BBC football expert Posted at 16:53 "West Ham are so physically strong as well as everything else they have got, they could make the top five."

Not the first time this season either. Wasn't it only a few weeks ago his lack of effort cost us a goal? I forget against who now, but he was definitely one of the main culprits.
