Salgado Is Still A Hero Posted February 21, 2016 Posted February 21, 2016 About as strong a team as they could play, considering Lanzini is only fit enough for the bench. Think we're not going to bother trying to "out-football" them and just play it long towards Brown or cross it at any opportunity. TEAMS: #WHUFC subs Adrian, Song, Henry, Lanzini, Oxford, Parfitt-Williams, Browne

rovers11 Posted February 21, 2016 Posted February 21, 2016 Strange team. West Ham are massive favourites now. A chance for some fringe players to impress I suppose.
Butty Posted February 21, 2016 Posted February 21, 2016 Wow West Ham are strong as they possibly could be with injuries taken into account, and we have made five changes. Christ it doesn't look good on paper
Backroom DE. Posted February 21, 2016 Backroom Posted February 21, 2016 Last time we gave our so called fringe players a chance in the cup we got beaten by Shrewsbury. Let's hope Lambert has the team a bit more up for it this time or this could get quite embarrassing.
oldjamfan1 Posted February 21, 2016 Posted February 21, 2016 Lambert doesn't want a replay or a next round game either by the looks. Not sure why you edited my original post from 'surprising line up' to 'poor line up'. I didn't actually say that or even infer it.
barry_ Posted February 21, 2016 Posted February 21, 2016 disappointed by the team. One for the stay away fans.
Butty Posted February 21, 2016 Posted February 21, 2016 Lambert has been going on about it being a full house all week, maybe someone told him the ticket sales yesterday and he thought sack it I'll play the reserves.
Dean Posted February 21, 2016 Posted February 21, 2016 At the very least it'll be an industrious team! I blasted his team selection before the Fulham game so I'll show a bit more patience this time.
islander200 Posted February 21, 2016 Posted February 21, 2016 Just seen the team, wish I hadn't bothered getting a ticket now.We aren't getting relegated, don't see why he has chosen that team. It's all well and good hoping to have a big crowd but then he doesn't pick our best players.Watt didn't play against Fulham why isn't he starting?
islander200 Posted February 21, 2016 Posted February 21, 2016 Remember we have players cup-tiedHanley,Watt and Gomez on the bench? Why
imy9 Posted February 21, 2016 Posted February 21, 2016 we have 11 games in 30 days. Need to utilise the squad.
roversoutsider Posted February 21, 2016 Posted February 21, 2016 we have 11 games in 30 days. Need to utilise the squad. This is not the time to do that. A lot of fans who don't usually attend will be there today and an abject performance will vindicate their decision in not attending.
AllRoverAsia Posted February 21, 2016 Posted February 21, 2016 Its a one off game with a chance of glory at home - play your best team and worry about tomorrow..................tomorrow. Makes some of Lambert's interviews this week look distinctly odd
chaddyrovers Posted February 21, 2016 Posted February 21, 2016 IMO, Lambert knows the West Ham full backs will push so the Diamond Shape Midfield isnt the right formation for this game. So thats why he gone 4-4-1-1 formation. Expect us to press them from the front tho.
rigger Posted February 21, 2016 Posted February 21, 2016 Perhaps PL wants to play a system, he thinks can win against this particular opposition, rather than 11 players. Lets see the outcome before he is judged.
Reedy You're A Star Posted February 21, 2016 Posted February 21, 2016 We made 4 or 5 changes before we played Swansea and Stoke in the last year's FA Cup and stuck 3 and 4 past them at Ewood. You never know..
G Somerset Rover Posted February 21, 2016 Posted February 21, 2016 Remember we have players cup-tiedDanny Graham. Nobody else. No excuses not to play our better players today.
Backroom DE. Posted February 21, 2016 Backroom Posted February 21, 2016 We made 4 or 5 changes before we played Stoke in the last year's FA Cup and stuck 4 past them at Ewood. You never know.. I think we'll need more than one player to get sent off early with Browny and Taylor as our attacking 'threats' !
Reedy You're A Star Posted February 21, 2016 Posted February 21, 2016 I think we'll need more than one player to get sent off early with Browny and Taylor as our attacking 'threats' ! Point is looking at the line ups that started against Swansea and Stoke, you would have though we would have no chance. But we beat them both (sendings off in both helped, admittedly )
Dean Posted February 21, 2016 Posted February 21, 2016 I think we'll need more than one player to get sent off early with Browny and Taylor as our attacking 'threats' ! Maybe the plan is rough them up for 60 minutes or so, then bring on the likes of Gomez when we've tired them out a bit.
G Somerset Rover Posted February 21, 2016 Posted February 21, 2016 Set piece our only chance today you feel. And a lot of Lady Luck. And a blinder from Steeley.
Mark Atkins' Bald Patch Posted February 21, 2016 Posted February 21, 2016 Not a great 11 if im honest... hopefully we're still in it with an hour gone to give gomez and watt a chance to get at them. CMON ROVERS!!
rickard Posted February 21, 2016 Posted February 21, 2016 For once I can watch the game, thanks ViaPlay! Let's hope for a good game and that Rovers triumph in the end!
