johnradfordsubbuteo Posted February 24, 2016 Posted February 24, 2016 Are we not classifying MK Franchise as a free hit? Wink emoticon thingy.

LDRover Posted February 24, 2016 Posted February 24, 2016 Yep, another kick in the balls. When is this sh1t ever going to end?
johnradfordsubbuteo Posted February 24, 2016 Posted February 24, 2016 Hmm the ever fallible Keogh appears to have kept a rare clean sheet...
Backroom DE. Posted February 24, 2016 Backroom Posted February 24, 2016 If we fail to win on Saturday, Lambert will have gotten only one more win than Bowyer out of the same number of games. Even if we do win he's only managed two more. Disappointing to say the least.

Will be happy when this season is over
watford-rover Posted February 24, 2016 Posted February 24, 2016 why did we bring in tony watt? still cant get off the bench behind brown today and jackson on sunday and he has at least scored for the club.
jw_ Posted February 24, 2016 Posted February 24, 2016 Just for the record we are 8 points above the relegation zone and with a game in hand so I don't see relegation looming even though it was another bad day for Rovers.
G Somerset Rover Posted February 24, 2016 Posted February 24, 2016 why did we bring in tony watt? still cant get off the bench behind brown today and jackson on sunday and he has at least scored for the club. As I said pre-match, Lambert was talking him up like he was bloody Messi about two weeks ago. The kid's played about 5 minutes since. Very, very strange.
RevidgeBlue Posted February 24, 2016 Posted February 24, 2016 Not really. Pretty much the same as with him tbh. On what I've seen have to say we look a far worse proposition under Lambert than Bowyer. Under GB we looked like a collection of reasonably talented underperforming individuals. Under PL we look like a collection of talentless individuals and the worst striker I've ever seen performing for us at this level now seems to have favoured status.
Backroom DE. Posted February 24, 2016 Backroom Posted February 24, 2016 So what your saying is either way he has improved our fortunes? Yeah, it's been fantastic.
davulsukur Posted February 24, 2016 Posted February 24, 2016 As others have said throwing away the West ham game and getting nothing tonight has backfired on Lambert. Looks like we plod on with frustrating times as a rover.
Rover_Shaun Posted February 24, 2016 Posted February 24, 2016 This season was over before it even started. Next season is the time to judge
West Yorks Rover Posted February 24, 2016 Posted February 24, 2016 Ah well, maybe we're getting better, we lost 2-0 last season. I for one, would still much rather have Lambert than Bowyer, it's all about the owners in the summer market. £10m needs spending at least, if not they may as well do one.
Moderation Lead K-Hod Posted February 24, 2016 Moderation Lead Posted February 24, 2016 It's been rubbish since Venky's took over. Paul Lambert doesn't have a magic wand. It's not been good so far, there's no doubt about that, but sticking the knife in him already is absolutely ridiculous.

It's not been good so far, there's no doubt about that, but sticking the knife in him already is absolutely ridiculous.Only seen one or two sticking the knife in since we appointed him. Most of us have simply said we expected much more than we've seen to date. There's no getting away from the fact that results have been appalling. I just hope he's got some decent players lined up for the summer because my God do we need 'em.
patrickvalery Posted February 24, 2016 Posted February 24, 2016 What's disappointing is invariably we play well for a match then play poorly for the next two. So, although it is encouraging to hear we played alright, we didn't get anything out of it and I wouldn't be at all surprised to see us get sod all next time out either. Something seems to have gone wrong with Watt. Why is this lad not getting a kick?
Moderation Lead K-Hod Posted February 24, 2016 Moderation Lead Posted February 24, 2016 I'm just glad we've so many out of contract in the summer so the decks can be cleared then it will be like a fresh start once more.
Backroom Tom Posted February 24, 2016 Backroom Posted February 24, 2016 Fair to say I was happy to when Bowyer was sacked and I still am. I expected results to pick up more than they have but I think long term things will be better be that with Lambert or someone else: I hope it's Lambert and would at least give him next season to prove himself.
G Somerset Rover Posted February 24, 2016 Posted February 24, 2016 It's good in one respect but slightly worrying by the same token given we'll only have about 12-15 senior outfield players on our books. Right now Watt is the only striker we could have at the club (option to buy) and he can't get a kick. Unless I'm mistaken it's actually just 11 senior outfield players that we'll have on our books!
chaddyrovers Posted February 24, 2016 Posted February 24, 2016 We are 8 points clear with 2 games in hand.
patrickvalery Posted February 24, 2016 Posted February 24, 2016 I'm just glad we've so many out of contract in the summer so the decks can be cleared then it will be like a fresh start once more. That's fine. But if we bloat the squad with Bennett's and Ward's and still get nowhere then we're really in the mire. If the summer is to be the rebuild we need (again) then I hope it's done with the clubs future in mind. It's really important that all the plate spinning Bowyer oversaw isn't frittered away.Just seen the goal from tonight. May be being a tad harsh, but I'd say a better keeper may of got something on that.

Tallrover Posted February 24, 2016 Posted February 24, 2016 Holy cow, look at the game in isolation. We are near the bottom playing a team near the top AWAY from home. We lose 1-0. Not exactly shocking. It is depressing on these boards sometimes. Some of the posters are only really happy when we lose. It's like being miserable is their lifeblood...
OJRovers Posted February 24, 2016 Posted February 24, 2016 1 win in 11 league games Let the good times roll on
G Somerset Rover Posted February 24, 2016 Posted February 24, 2016 We need a lot of players in many different positions, right now I can't think of that many I'd really want to keep...I agree, but if Venky's do a...Venky's, then we're seriously, seriously screwed.
