roversoutsider Posted February 24, 2016 Posted February 24, 2016 Isn't Grimes a centre midfielder? Is he being chucked out to the wing just because he's left footed

Veevs Posted February 24, 2016 Posted February 24, 2016 He's only been here 5 minutes and that would be 50% of the games hes been unavailable for selection through injury already. Really hope we don't waste any money on him in summer. Error edit the article says the opposite to what you said? How did you work that out even if he was injured today.. Christ I know some people judge players before they kick a ball but he has played 3 of 4 league games (and managers choice in one he missed due to a slight knock pre-match) and was cup tied for the other two matches. As for wasting money in the summer, I rate him in the championship, works hard, pressures from the front and knocks in goals at this level.
Athlete Posted February 24, 2016 Posted February 24, 2016 The guy that helped us to a 3-0 win in our last league game in which the front line gave the defenders a torrid time He couldn't give a Sunday morning side up Pleasington a torrid time he's not good enough to be anywhere near Rovers starting 11

Veevs Posted February 24, 2016 Posted February 24, 2016 Isn't Grimes a centre midfielder? Is he being chucked out to the wing just because he's left footed Yeah he is but the squad is lacking lefties.. we only have Taylor, Gomez and Spurr if I remember right. But a creative midfielder on the wing isn't to bad, just hope he can cover Spurr a little. I so wish we had sold Rhodes earlier in the window. Yeah but Jordan Rhodes, well he knocked in goals. Yeah 3 in his last 17 games for Rovers he was on a roll there matey and 1 in 3 for Graham so far and I dare say he worked harder in those 3 than Rhodes in his last 10 games... and lets not turn this into yet another Rhodes thread.
VinjayV4 Posted February 24, 2016 Posted February 24, 2016 @onerovers Craig Conway misses this evening’s game through illness, whilst Simeon Jackson has a slight groin injury.

bazza Posted February 24, 2016 Posted February 24, 2016 What sort of illness? Food poisoning? Sack the chef at Brockhall.
Doug Posted February 24, 2016 Posted February 24, 2016 Come on blue boys, need a decent result to put some space between us and bottom 3. Confident of a 2-1 win! COYB
Husky Posted February 24, 2016 Posted February 24, 2016 Seems like a 2-1 home win if ever there was one.
Mike Graham Posted February 24, 2016 Posted February 24, 2016 I went to Derby last season under Bowyer. It was freezing cold, 250 Rovers fans at the most, and after 2 minutes you could see that our players were not interested and realised we would get beaten. What sort of illness? Food poisoning? Sack the chef at Brockhall. Apparently (from someone ITK) he pooed his pants and locked himself in the coach toilet.
chaddyrovers Posted February 24, 2016 Posted February 24, 2016 From Paul Wheelock Jordi Gomez (right), Elliott Bennett (centre) and Matt Grimes (left) playing behind lone striker Danny Graham. #rovers
Dean Posted February 24, 2016 Posted February 24, 2016 From Paul Wheelock Jordi Gomez (right), Elliott Bennett (centre) and Matt Grimes (left) playing behind lone striker Danny Graham. #rovers Bizarre, but just highlights our complete lack of quality out wide. I imagine there will be a lot of interchanging since neither Gomez or Grimes are natural wide players.
punerover Posted February 24, 2016 Posted February 24, 2016 From Paul Wheelock Jordi Gomez (right), Elliott Bennett (centre) and Matt Grimes (left) playing behind lone striker Danny Graham. #rovers 4-2-3-1 ?
grizfoot Posted February 24, 2016 Posted February 24, 2016 From Paul Wheelock Jordi Gomez (right), Elliott Bennett (centre) and Matt Grimes (left) playing behind lone striker Danny Graham. #rovers So we play Bennett the least creative of the three in the centre? Probably be a very narrow midfield again, Lambert doesn't seem to like playing with wingers.
roversfan99 Posted February 24, 2016 Posted February 24, 2016 Pathetic. Nice and fresh after Sunday at least.
sambo Posted February 24, 2016 Posted February 24, 2016 If we lose tonight Lambert's decision to make wholesale changes on Sunday will deserve even more ire.
