[Archived] Pne. Early Ko 12.30

Because of our mates group dynamic of Preston and rovers fans doing hospitality. Has anybody been before? In which case does anyone know hospitality kicks off if match starts at 12.30 - rovers haven't even sent details/tickets yet!

Before I go on too much of a rant and call us a shambles and tin pot club another thing post venkys we have let standards plummet on it may be separate from the club but thoroughly poor show with less than a week to go.

There are different hospitality packages in different parts of the ground.

Have only done the 12.30 kick offs in Premier Suite (JW) and arrived for about 10.45. Food is usually excellent and is effectively a 3 course lunch with a couple of 'up market' options for those who prefer a breakfast 'feel' at that time of the day.

Leyland was my home town. I went to school there and worked at Leyland Motors and the Farrington Foundary.

All my school mates at Wellfield were Rovers fans (some still attend Ewood to this day). I never came across anyone at school who went to PNE. In later only knew one PNE fan fan who attended and he sadly died of a brain tumour (RIP Dennis Golden).

I do know one these days and he lives in Pleasington. He has taken me to join him on his table in the Great Room a few times; I have enjoyed the food and wine but that is all. The stadium is like a glorified tin-shack when you get close up, it looks cheap and tacky and of low quality.

Role on Saturday.....I am looking forward to it.

Went to Deepdale in November. Got the train down from Newcastle and stopped off in a few pubs as we made our way to the ground. Colours on show and no issues in any of them, although most of them were full of our fans.

On the way back, we walked through a few back streets to get to the pub near the train station. Had a few PNE "fans" walking from the town (so obviously didn't go to the game) towards us chanting "PNE, PNE", looked like proper knuckle draggers. Barged into my dad then proceeded to shout something. My dad said something back, they mumbled b@$tard Rovers fans and then walked off. Quite pathetic really.

At least 300 in Blackburn end .... Yawn

Burnleys infant brothers .

Makes you laugh. Tickets on sale for weeks before sell out.

If you were desperate enough to want to see the game that you would go in the home end, I'm sure you would have bought a ticket when they were easily available.

You only get infiltration when demand outstrips supply quickly (west ham last month being an example)

Looking at the prediction thread on one of their boards and my god the over confidence is unreal. By the looks of things they've just got to turn up and Garner will do the rest.

Think they and him might just be in for a shock assuming the real Lamberts Rovers show up. Amazing how Larry is the messiah again now after he was Bowyer mk2 a few months ago. I reckon he'll set out to draw anyway as that's all I've heard about him from them lot until recently

Really looking forward to this one! The early KO time means a train out of Glasgow at about 7.30am, and sadly it also means that we will need to cover our colours up when we change at Preston. I'm too old for fighting really but will dish some out if necessary. We are booked on a later train back though, so should be able to have a good few leisurely beers in the Ewood WMC and avoid the PKE lot on the way back.

As for the game, I fancy us to turn that lot over. Although this being the Championship you wouldn't really be surprised by any result!

3-1 Rovers, with the three G's scoring the goals. Gomez and Graham to open things up, and Gormless (Brown) to come off the bench to scuff one in and clinch the three points late on.

Blackburn won't have seen many 7k away followings says Larry. No mate only Leeds/Boro/West Ham/Liverpool in the past 12 months or so. Bunch of self inflated tits, if ever there was time for another 6 niler it's now !!!

Thanks Venky's, another consequence of your mis-rule is that we have to entertain these small time clowns.

That lot would normally be giving it the 'Superior' routine to Blackpool fans, now we have to put up with their bull s****.

I'm a bit concerned now. I haven't got my ticket yet.

There might be more Preston fans in the home end than there were when we played Liverpool in the cup.

Shame Hanley is missing this and an even bigger shame we no longer have the likes of an Andy Todd or Ryan Nelsen to put that toerag in his place. Still think he'll get sent off for a rash challenge.

garner is an arrogent chav prick

Bit poor from you, Abbey (as you frequently post about your hatred for all things PNE- AND IVE NO PROBLEMS WITH THAT)

Fans who dish things out should be able to take things in return(a general point, about all fans being touchy and offended as soon as a player does or says anything against their team.)

Garner is simply firing himself and his supporters up (for their cup final).

Imagine his disappointment come 14:20pm on Saturday.
