Well, the last part is true regardless of how many men we have on the pitch.

As for Gomez, the sooner we send him back to Sunderland the better. Stopped showing up after his first few matches.

I hate football sometimes.

For one incident (a genuine attempt to get to the ball by throwing your body in the way) you get:

1) Penalty

2) Sent off

3) A second player sacrificed

4) Rest of the game with 10 men

5) A further match ban

6) Concede a goal (more often than not)

That is so excessive and, in the heat of the moment - when instinct kicks in, it's no deterrent.

Just award the goal instead and get on with the game.
