At 1-0 it never looked anything but a comfy win

One decision not given and then a moment of stupidity and it was nearly game over.

The referee then fails to send off their number 4 for 2 blatant yellows then decides not to give a clear clear penalty.

Harsh on rovers today really, Gomez woeful though Gallagher showed him up today

One too many hard luck stories this season I'm afraid chief. At some point we have to accept the team are, overall, simply nowhere near the standard required. There's a reason Lambert is desperately begging for funds from Venky's in the media, and it isn't because the referees are conspiring against us.

Part of me can't wait for this disaster of a season to be over, but another part very much fears what the summer will bring. If Venky's decide not to back PL, we may lose our last beacon of hope and next season will make this one seem like a promotion romp in comparison.

That's the rub for me too. Granted I wasn't there today but there's been just too many hard luck stories this season. There's a losers mentality within the camp, which obviously PL is doing his best to eradicate, but we're just not mentally strong enough to see games out, or get back into them, on a remotely consistent basis.

The mods needs to make sure that no new accounts are approved for the rest of the day. Bunch of classless scrotes - especially those stupid chavs that we followed up Bolton Rd.

Duffy and Hanley are the least of our problems.

People need to start realising that VENKYS are the issue, until they go this club will continue to slump from one disaster to another.

Simple as that.

All sorts of records get broken under Venkys watch, the types we don't want to be broken. Another one goes up in smoke today and no doubt they'll start becoming regular winners at Ewood like the dingles.

When you look at them bringing on the likes of Beckford for a player like that scrote Garner whilst we fumble about with the likes of Brown and Jackson it's no surprise the difference in positions.

Oh and save some money and send Gomez back ffs!

Ward was very good one lazy back pass but otherwise very classy.

Brown had a very good impact when he came on but typically the one chance he had at goal was a weak effort.

Bennet again was impressive.

Steele was poor, should have handled the first better and his kicking suspect.

What was Duffy's thinking. Get rid.

Steel was out practicing his long kicks at HT. Didn't do any good.

With 11 players we stood a chance but with 10 and their one touch spread the ball play we stood no chance. Ok I'm annoyed with this result but how many times have we been humiliated at Ewood this season through our teams lack of educated football? I'll not mention the ref.

Get rid of Duffy.

Could have been 2-0 up before the sending off. All downhill from there. Reading a lot of critism aimed at akpan but totally unjustified. He was trying to cover for two players the whole match. Himself and Gomez. For me Gomez wouldn't wear a rovers shirt again. No passion or commitment.

Taking Jackson off was a mistake as his pace could have come in handy. Gomez should have been the one sacrificed. Overall a lot of huff and puff but playing with 9 men it was always going to be a Preston win

Thank's for that Tom, maybe Duffy will struggle to get back in, after his one match ban.

Only Duffy could go from hero to zero so quickly. What on earth was going through his head? Think Lambo might think the job is too big. What a pathetic season it has been. Never thought i would see the day we would lose to preston.

Well they did win a game in 1997 but I suppose that barely counted as a massive result even for them. Against a 2nd string and 6-0 down from the first leg lol.

Unfortunately when you loan players, you take the risk that they aren't going to be committed. Gomez has the ability but his attitude has stunk for long enough to make it obvious why he's nowhere near Sunderland's first team. The likes of Judge would have ten times the impact Gomez would, and at a fraction of the cost wage wise. I very much doubt we'll be seeing Gomez back here next season, whether Lambert remains or not.

I agree on the subs I was unhappy with those today. As for Gomez aside for that very important free kick goal I'm struggling to think of even one useful contribution he's made since then. Good idea by PL bringing him in but it hasn't worked, he isn't interested so get rid now.

Another disgusting result to add to the list for 2015-16. This really does feel like a relegation season, despite the fact we will almost certainly be safe. Thank goodness for the lack of overall quality in this league.

The stats for this game make for horrific reading, 10 men or not. This game will no doubt give Lambert even greater cause to demand funds to sort out the mess that is our squad. Meanwhile, worryingly, Venky's could be attributing overall poor performances and results since December, minus a couple of purple patches, to Lambert and his staff. If so, we are royally screwed.

Perfect summation for me also,we are just nowhere near good enough to get out of this hell hole of a league.

Which team are you supporting Tom when you say Brown has had a very good impact ....it can't be Rovers !

Cost us the game. He'd have been better letting it in and staying on the pitch.

Midfield masterclass from Gally, who we gave the freedom of Ewood. He had acres everytime he got the ball and sprayed passes around all game.

Plenty huff and puff from us but far too little quality.

I hate football.
