sharpysharps Posted March 1, 2016 Posted March 1, 2016 Fantastic result! Well done Rovers, and always a bonus that Rhodes didn't score and come back to haunt us. Lambert has owned Karanka in the two matches against Boro.
Husky Posted March 1, 2016 Posted March 1, 2016 Is it a fair assumption to say that if Jordan Rhodes could finish we might have drawn?
Moderation Lead K-Hod Posted March 1, 2016 Moderation Lead Posted March 1, 2016 Don't think I'm being too dramatic in saying that was probably the best performance of the season. Superb every last one of them! Only downside is it helps Burnley!!
mckenny16 Posted March 1, 2016 Posted March 1, 2016 As long as we score more goals than them at the final whistle, I don't much care - this wasn't/shouldn't have been a match we expected to get much out of, realistically. Good to see us scoring quite a lot of goals, and good to see several players getting on the score sheet at the moment - it's been a long time coming! We need to sort our back line/goalkeeping out soon though. Our clean sheet record is atrocious. You do realise that there are only 5 teams in this league that have conceded less goals than us?Sent from my D6603 using Tapatalk
Backroom Tom Posted March 1, 2016 Backroom Posted March 1, 2016 Majestic win with a complete centre forward performance from Graham Absolutely superb stuff Rhodes came over to the rovers fans at the end and got a nice send off
koi Posted March 1, 2016 Posted March 1, 2016 We were once linked with that Rhodes lad. Bullet. Dodged.
patrickvalery Posted March 1, 2016 Posted March 1, 2016 Sky reporter said Hanley and Duffy were excellent. Fair reflection?
Backroom DE. Posted March 1, 2016 Backroom Posted March 1, 2016 Majestic win with a complete centre forward performance from Graham Absolutely superb stuff Rhodes came over to the rovers fans at the end and got a nice send off Sounds like he did his part tonight
Neal Posted March 1, 2016 Posted March 1, 2016 Glad to see Graham getting a big game goal, will do his confidence some good.
onlyonejackwalker Posted March 1, 2016 Posted March 1, 2016 Great result. Very pleased. Well done to all concerned. COYB.
booth Posted March 1, 2016 Posted March 1, 2016 Don't think I'm being too dramatic in saying that was probably the best performance of the season. Superb every last one of them! Only downside is it helps Burnley!! Only one way to fix that!
neophox Posted March 1, 2016 Posted March 1, 2016 The crowd is increasing! Hope for a good turn out on saturday derby!
sharpysharps Posted March 1, 2016 Posted March 1, 2016 3 wins in 4 league games is it? Certainly signs of a bit more progress at the moment, and no better way to kick on than to beat them lot at the weekend in their own back yard. The win tonight must be the most satisfying we've had so far in a pretty awful season. Chuffed to see Graham get another goal too.
Backroom Mike E Posted March 1, 2016 Backroom Posted March 1, 2016 Complete performance. Brilliant. Just bloody brilliant.
West Yorks Rover Posted March 1, 2016 Posted March 1, 2016 Up to 16th, 11 points clear of bottom 3, with a game in hand and a massive + GD 3 home wins on the run, 8 goals scored, 3 goals against. Great stuff !!! 16,601 (3759 away)
ewood111 Posted March 1, 2016 Posted March 1, 2016 You do realise that there are only 5 teams in this league that have conceded less goals than us? Sent from my D6603 using Tapatalk Sure - but other teams are capable of keeping a clean sheet and winning 1-0. For us to win, we always have to score 2 goals. I'd be more interested in a stat about how many clean sheets teams have kept - don't think we'd be in the top 5 (certainly not recently).
matt83 Posted March 1, 2016 Posted March 1, 2016 Great result even if it does help the dingles. A well deserved ovation for the players. Now on to the important game of the week which slightly more upbeat about than I was last Saturday at 3.45.
neophox Posted March 1, 2016 Posted March 1, 2016 11 points off relegation, 15 points to the playoffs and a game in hand... Just keep on Rolling!
Backroom Tom Posted March 1, 2016 Backroom Posted March 1, 2016 Felt like a cup final at times towards the end. I'm sure we held the ball in the corner for about 7 minutes! Lambert did everything right tonight; at one point it was relentless, he made changes and we resisted then went up the other end and scored
