Probably 'I voted for the Common Market, not the EU'.

And wasn't that a cover up at the time.

Can't remember at the time being told that we were signing away our independence, it was hidden there all the time though that we agreed to ever closer political union.

Like some one has already posted, if we were not already members/shackled would we vote to join now.

Did anyone pick up Stuart Roses's ( ex M&S CEO and Chairman of Britain Stronger in Europe Campaign) comments in the Treasury Select Committee the other day? When questioned about the potential for wages to increase if we left the EU he said , "yes wages will increase but that's not necessarily a good thing "

He was sat alongside Will Straw also from Stronger In Europe ( stood for Labour in Rossendale and Darwen) ) who has since tried to defend what Rose said on the Daily Politics show . I can understand where Rose is coming from, but why are the Left condoning lower wages?

One potential issue...

Higher wages = higher prices = higher inflation = higher interest rates = higher mortgage payments

You could end up with more money, but less you can do with your disposable income.

Inflation is at about 0.2% so it's not too much of an issue unless we start printing loads of money............oh wait a minute we have done for years now. Isn't that odd? We should be like Weimar Germany, so where is all this extra money?..........

Rose just wants to keep wages down so he and his pals can run off with more money.

Why doesn't the nearest safest country to Syria, Israel, not take in many of the displaced migrants.

Probably because they are not travelling in that direction JAL. Plus there is a big wall in the way.

They don't even claim asylum/sanctuary in the 1st European country they land in, how do you explain that JAL ?

Is that because the roads are blocked in that direction and are totally discouraged from going there in the first place.

What is their first European country they may land in.

The main thing that will save people money is building more house. A lot more houses, but no one left or right has much of an idea about that at the moment. Too scared of antagonising the people who vote whether they be died in the wool tories or champagne socialists, both slaves to nimbyism.

Maybe the Israeli's don't take too kindly giving refuge to people who fired missiles at them.

1st European country !

Take your pick, Greece, Malta, Italy, Spain, Albania, Turkey and more

I know this is probably incredibly naive of me, but what I don't see is how we get out. Easy to say but hard to do. It could take years to disentangle our legislation from eu legislation and a lot of the bits and pieces people don't like are things we've signed up to separately. Nobody has explained the exit process because it's never happened before and nobody actually knows. The impact of leaving is also impossible to predict. I don't know how I'll vote because nobody has set out a clear picture of what will happen, when or how. My daughter has applied for German citizenship in case we vote to leave. If things are going to be so much better if we're out, then presumably migrants will be even more determined to get here, since we all know it's economics that drives people to push their way through a peaceful Europe to Britain. And the french will be increasingly reluctant to cooperate in stopping them travelling here? I think giving us a referendum was a sneaky ploy by Cameron to let us make as big a mess as we want. If we vote to leave and things go well, the Tories will take the credit, and if it all goes wrong, well get the blame. It's a no win situation for anyone whether we stay or leave.

Apparently there is an EU procedure to get out with a 2 year time scale to negotiate trade deals etc, for some reason the stay/government are not making any contingency plans around this procedure and are denying the out campaign access to some relevant documents.

The stay campaign are running a scare/negative campaign which I think will work against them, or is that what Cameron really wants!

ABBEY has a good point, lets have a poll with exactly the same question as the referendum question

The media coverage of this is awful, nobody is being held to account, nobody is providing reliable figures.

All I hear is both sides making wild claims, then calling the other side negative when they give completely different views.

Can we have a poll ?

I think the Tories would prefer it if they all left.

I agree with this, there's no proper debate or discussion. Just people talking to you like you are a retard and trying to say that voting for the other side will lead to the end of civilisation.

Think it will need an undecided option as plenty around are still that to be honest

It's a good point ABBEY but if you give some people to much choice they will never make their mind up!

It will soon come around and there is no where near enough information yet

There's enough for me. I don't want foreigners making our laws or coming to this country and taking benefits and I certainly don't want them imposing their way of life on Britain. OUT, OUT, OUT.
