These small 'victories' coming out at the moment are not victories at all, they are small drips into a huge pot. Hartlepool split 70 30, but had about a 20000 vote gap. Birmingham with about half a million votes, and a couple of huge London boroughs will decide this. A 55 to 45 for remain in Bham would swamp any 'wins' in the North East for the leavers

I was so excited about the vote I forgot to turn the washing machine on. :glare:

Have to wait now.

May as well have not bothered with the rest of the country. Just let London decide as is normal. The @#/?!

It's rather like watching the weather forecast isn't it? They basically haven't got a @#/? clue until it finally happens.

Wonder if the mood of the people would have been different 10 years ago?

"We will put it — the EU Constitution — to the British people in a referendum and campaign whole-heartedly for a 'Yes' vote." — Labour Party manifesto, May 2005

"We will have a referendum on the constitution in any event — and that is a Government promise." - Tony Blair May 2005

If we weren't in the EU, it would be interesting to see how many would vote in.

Certainly would, considering what was originally voted on is not what it is now.

It is turning into most of England and Wales against London and Scotland (and Gibraltar). If it is remain, that is not much of a mandate for the government

Isn't it about time the General election was counted this way. By actual numbers.

McCameron the King of the Scots!

And Gibraltar is nothing but Spain's skid mark.

Fascinating outlook (though only 25% of the vote so far):

England and Wales = Out.

Scotland and NI = In.

Surprised that the cities seem to be letting Remain down with some much finer margins even than anticipated. Long way to go yet.
