Amo Posted March 5, 2016 Posted March 5, 2016 I'm not sure how we're going to score when we've got so few players in the box during open play. I'm guessing we're going for set pieces today. Yup, if Bennett had latched onto Marshall's pass, you could see that Graham was the only man in the box marked by three Burnley defenders.
thegrumpyman Posted March 5, 2016 Posted March 5, 2016 Can someone please cross a ball elsewhere than Heatons hands?!
Backroom Tom Posted March 5, 2016 Backroom Posted March 5, 2016 The horrible ones are a class above most teams in this league - including us
Wing Wizard Windy Miller Posted March 5, 2016 Posted March 5, 2016 Need to get the midfield pushing up. No runners into box.
Amo Posted March 5, 2016 Posted March 5, 2016 The horrible ones are a class above most teams in this league - including us Which is remarkable, because there's no star quality in their team whatsoever.
AdamRochina Posted March 5, 2016 Posted March 5, 2016 It's not that they are a class above.. I've seen them plenty of times.. They do the basics to almost perfection.. They don't have many moments of sheer quality more like hard graft and luck
ewood111 Posted March 5, 2016 Posted March 5, 2016 Awful defending there - schoolboy stuff. All of our players were just running towards the ball, leaving Burnley with several free players on the edge of our box.
Hasta Posted March 5, 2016 Posted March 5, 2016 There's a goal in us in this games. Unfortunately I think there's 2 more for Burnley as well.
Backroom DE. Posted March 5, 2016 Backroom Posted March 5, 2016 Which is remarkable, because there's no star quality in their team whatsoever. Indeed. It either proves how good Dyche is as a manager or how utterly poor this division is in terms of quality.
ewood111 Posted March 5, 2016 Posted March 5, 2016 Akpan close with a header - probably our best chance so far.
garnersfags Posted March 5, 2016 Posted March 5, 2016 Playing Grimes a big risk, esp away. Lambert hoping his aimless, hopefull passes are compensated for by one or two moments of quality. Out of his depth so far, but he did produce one quality moment on Tuesday......
Backroom Tom Posted March 5, 2016 Backroom Posted March 5, 2016 In what Galaxy is that not a free kick on Marshall?
Backroom DE. Posted March 5, 2016 Backroom Posted March 5, 2016 Marshall seems really reluctant to cross. He keeps trying to pass or run inside. Every time we lose the ball.
Hasta Posted March 5, 2016 Posted March 5, 2016 Akpan clueless But at least he's involved unlike grimes and Gomes.
Backroom DE. Posted March 5, 2016 Backroom Posted March 5, 2016 In what Galaxy is that not a free kick on Marshall? Not sure how much referees in this division get paid but however much it is, it's too much. As bad as the playing standard is, the refereeing standard is significantly worse.
Wing Wizard Windy Miller Posted March 5, 2016 Posted March 5, 2016 Akpan and Grimes would be easy subs at half time. Daft pen aside though, we have done quite well.

Definite free kick on Marshall not given, but don't forget that we had a few very soft ones given our way earlier in the match too.
garnersfags Posted March 5, 2016 Posted March 5, 2016 Yep, aimless, hopefull. Grimes is playing in his head, not in Burnley....
Amo Posted March 5, 2016 Posted March 5, 2016 All in all, I don't think we've been too bad. We've had the ball in some dangerous positions, but a lack of quality and attacking options has let us down. It's taken a Duffy masterclass to put them ahead.
