What is different this season to any previous under our owners ?

This happens time and time again - and then (for whatever reason) they surprise us by not putting us in admin etc. etc.

Personally I wouldn't be surprised whatever happens - from best case of money for Lambert and a clear plan for next season - to worse case of administration (actually worse case would be selling all saleable players to balance the books, increasing season ticket prices and Venky's staying). I have given up trying to guess what they will do next - so will wait and see rather than working myself into the annual frenzy of rumours of asset stripping and pending administration.

they stripped all the assets, as in players of value.

Annual??????????? you are having a laugh. This is a daily Pantomime show.

I agree though it's just not possible to second guess what the Vs may do. Impossible probably as those feckers don't know either.

Lol! "Annual"! Like they get it wrong once a year!

If only!

The big one is going to be Lambert and his future. As long as he remains in place then I will hold out some confidence that there is some sort of plan in place going forward and that the apparent chaos is merely a result of Venkys lack of communication and really Lambert/Pasha have things under control going forward.

However if Lambert walks then I think we're facing a full blown crisis.

Would you back protests then ?

I wouldn't argue with any paying supporter voicing their unhappiness at the way the club is run, though its not something I think I will do as I don't believe it is going to help.

I thought Pasha was their guy in South Africa?

Amazing that some people are trying to convince themselves everything might still be okay.

We have one bloke left on the board, a manager about to walk out, no plans in place for next season and ever mounting debts.

Not S Africa. He runs a disco in Ibiza. He sounds like ideal material for t'Rovers.

Apparently that same Suhail Pasha is now on Venky's books and not on Kentaro's Books AFAIK. I could be wrong. Please correct me someone.

Seriously? I've just done a Google search and the only bits of info I found linked him to Venky's Biscuits in South Africa.
There also appears to be a Suhail Pasha at Kentaro.

Love your positivity but reading between the lines even you know this is a farce and we need shut wether Lambert is backed or not.. Highly likely not..

As it's got the hallmark of pointing one way

As for directors Indian based I'm not too sure how UK corporate law stands but doubt it can happen even if it can it only makes the whole situation a lot worse..

Don't know how the law stands but for someone refused a work permit in the UK it's highly likely it's not acceptable to corporate UK law

I have already commented how I would run the club and how.

Any detail available on that?

I have started a thread called pre season summer 16. Irvine was talking to some fans yesterday at the Disabled supporters player of the year awards about it

Chaddyrovers they won't put in place a UK based board with authority and that's been a major problem from day one

As for pre season thread your the eternal optimist I'll give you that or plain stupid

Do you think that ex Granada executives would know anything about football ?

There isn't an impending financial crisis - we have been in financial crisis from the moment we got relegated - with debts accumulating at an alarming rate.

Myers being placed on garden leave is an interesting one - in truth nobody knows why he resigned in the first place - but has had some health concerns. Could it be that Venky's are being considerate to an ex-employee - while also leaving the decks clear for the new man ? I don't know, I admit unlikely, but just a different spin on what, in truth, nobody really knows what is going on and why.

BTW - since he went to India last summer we have come out of FFP (partly down to some money from Venky's), brought in a management team that none of really expected and paid transfer fees for the first time in a while. Its all about what happens next.

An ex Granada employee who came into an absolutely hugely different scenario, daft comparison. When Williams first came in his remit was to make the club more marketable, everything else just followed but as you know we were in a position to absorb mistakes back then.

Ok then there is a BIGGER impending financial crisis seeing as the Parachute money has stopped, we've sold 20 mill worth of players yet are still skint, that's before we look at even more reduced matchday & corporate income.

Or have you missed all this ?

i remember reading here on the MB that Pasha was not happy with the owner of Kentaro and left them to join the Venky's. Something to that extent I think.

I am sure this has been brought up before, and satisfactorily explained. Cannot bother trawling through the Messageboard and disappointing those looking for things that are not there.

To be honest I'm not even bothered if he does have a connection to Kentaro. At the end of the day his biggest contribution to the club appears to have been the appointments of Paul Lambert and his team, which is probably the most sensible and logical decision made in the last 5 and a half years.

Presuming it's even the same chap of course

Anyway IF he got Lambert in and IF he is going to run the show he still needs a budget and it needs to be his full time job, even if he's not based here someone needs to be calling the shots and answering the questions as they crop up.

Experienced (albeit 2nd rate) football people leaving the building in droves, lines of communication to India silent, Kentaro people seemingly back in town and a manager advocating we spend big on players.

You are really not bothered by that?

What a fool.

Firstly the comparison to where John Williams came from :-

"Accountants know nothing about the football side of things"

In case it missed you (which is obviously did) - I was referring mainly to this statement where you inferred that somebodies previous background meant that they wouldn't necessarily be good in a football related role. Using Williams - and the fact that he didn't come from a football background - but went on to be a highly respected football administrator is valid no matter what the difference in circumstances at the club. Add to this that Cheston is already at the club - so already has some football related experience.

Secondly - missing the impending financial crisis - please learn to read a full post before responding :-

"There isn't an impending financial crisis - we have been in financial crisis from the moment we got relegated - with debts accumulating at an alarming rate. "

In case you hadn't noticed it - debt accumulation has actually reduced as we have reduced the wage bill - even though income has reduced also. The real damage was done when we gave ridiculous contracts to players like Best, Murphy and Etuhu.
