What a fool.

Firstly the comparison to where John Williams came from :-

"Accountants know nothing about the football side of things"

In case it missed you (which is obviously did) - I was referring mainly to this statement where you inferred that somebodies previous background meant that they wouldn't necessarily be good in a football related role. Using Williams - and the fact that he didn't come from a football background - but went on to be a highly respected football administrator is valid no matter what the difference in circumstances at the club. Add to this that Cheston is already at the club - so already has some football related experience.

Secondly - missing the impending financial crisis - please learn to read a full post before responding :-

"There isn't an impending financial crisis - we have been in financial crisis from the moment we got relegated - with debts accumulating at an alarming rate. "

In case you hadn't noticed it - debt accumulation has actually reduced as we have reduced the wage bill - even though income has reduced also. The real damage was done when we gave ridiculous contracts to players like Best, Murphy and Etuhu.

The chief excuse maker, have you sent your CV into the V's yet ? You were the same with Bowyer and look how that turned out.

It's genuinely bizarre how you choose to see things different from nearly everyone else.

Fool ? If you want to yell insults do it face to face you mard arse.

Debt accumulation has not reduced, only the rate of accumulation has reduced, so the debt is figure is still increasing

Exactly. The main reason we are in such a mess is because so many people who have no idea what they are doing have had a go at running the club. We just aren't in any position to take anymore chances but you can bet this will be followed up by Dunny or another coach ending up manager.

DMTP will see the good in it all though...........

Myers shoots and leaves.

Lambo in limbo.

Making facts fit the headlines is a dangerous occupation and Wheelcock should know better.

It makes perfect business sense to send Myers on gardening leave. Budget discussions are coming up. It's normal to get people out of the way who won't be part of the business soon and could be informed to the detriment of the club.

Yeah, but in a normal situation there would be enough employees to realistically take on the responsibilities of the person departing. I don't know anything about Cheston, but he's one man doing a million jobs.

To be honest I'm not even bothered if he does have a connection to Kentaro. At the end of the day his biggest contribution to the club appears to have been the appointments of Paul Lambert and his team, which is probably the most sensible and logical decision made in the last 5 and a half years.

So is Paul Lambert Irvine and Kelly connected to Kentaro ?

I don't really view fool as an insult - more a description. ;)

Choosing not to jump on band wagons - or believe everything written on the internet - guilty as charged.

Personally I don't think I see things differently to everyone else - I just try to look at things in a balanced way and make my own decisions (be they right or wrong)

Looking at things in a balanced way, what did you get right so far?

Chaddyrovers they won't put in place a UK based board with authority and that's been a major problem from day one

As for pre season thread your the eternal optimist I'll give you that

I agree on the first point.

Is that why they wanted Pasha to be the Rovers CEO cos they trust him? But couldnt get a work permit.

I am an eternal optimist and always will be.

Well for starters - I consistently questioned the believe of some that Venky's were going to sell Rhodes - of course eventually it was going to come true - but a long time after the doomsayers predicted. This based on a balanced view that Rhodes was the one thing they thought they had got right.

With Kean and Bowyer - with the benefit of hindsight I personally probably gave them more time than they should have had. Of course you could say that without the points gained under Kean - we would have been relegated in our first season in the Championship (btw check my posts - I said after only a few matches that we were getting points through good fortune under Kean rather than good play and that it couldn't continue, I also said he should be sacked before we were relegated). I also didn't renew my season ticket that year - in protest at Kean.

As for Bowyer - who knows who they would have appointed if they had got rid of him earlier - it really could have been frying pan and fire.

I was wrong about Howard Kendall - as I bet an Everton fan that he would stay at Ewood (was a little taken in by the wet behind the ears comments in the press at the time - and thought he would stay another season).

Right thats some of my confession - as they say let he is without sin throw the first stone - or is it lonely in that ivory tower. :rover:

BTW I never said I was always right.
