Gav Posted April 5, 2016 Posted April 5, 2016 Just been told we won the toss and have Wednesday kicking the wrong way, lets hope its not the only thing we win tonight.
Gav Posted April 5, 2016 Posted April 5, 2016 Just while nothings going on, I went to Hereford today, first stop the football ground Edger Street, great floodlights, missing a few bulbs but great floodlights, never seen Rovers play in Hereford myself. Anyway back to Sheffield where I have seen Rovers play.
Mike Graham Posted April 5, 2016 Posted April 5, 2016 I saw Rovers play there many years ago (1974?) the Saturday before Xmas. I think we either lost 6-2 or 6-3. From memory only about 100 Rovers fans that day. Great ground but years of financial challenges. Some great fans from what I hear from a life long Hereford supporting fan at work.
Husky Posted April 5, 2016 Posted April 5, 2016 .In 11 v 11 and it's Championship football - anything can happen. Exactly. Even the teams in the automatic promotion places are crap.

Thats a right journey just before Christmas and to lose so heavily! Then again I've seen us stuffed at Plymouth by 4, long way back, bloody Tommy Tynan.....

That was our promotion year under Lee wasn't it?

I went on the "League Liner" to Hereford. The trains 3rd run I think and Herefords first ever home game in the 3rd division. Can't remember the score (1-0 us?) but the police were stupid at the station and all hell let loose.
Mike Graham Posted April 5, 2016 Posted April 5, 2016 That was our promotion year under Lee wasn't it? Yes it was EiT. It was probably our worse performance that season. It was also our Centenary Year and I was recently given a Rovers v Bolton first day cover signed by the said Gordon Lee.
Mercer Posted April 5, 2016 Posted April 5, 2016 That was our promotion year under Lee wasn't it? It was - seem to remember us bouncing back in style and winning the next 3/4/5 on the bounce including PNE at Ewood on Boxing Day.
chaddyrovers Posted April 5, 2016 Posted April 5, 2016 Steele looking poor tonight according radio rovers
davulsukur Posted April 5, 2016 Posted April 5, 2016 Sounds like Steele is flapping at everything. Don't have a great deal of confidence in our keeper. Definitely need a new one, if possible in the summer. Edit: Chaddy read my mind!
Exiled in Toronto Posted April 5, 2016 Posted April 5, 2016 Steele looking poor tonight according radio roversDon't need a commentary to figure that out
booth Posted April 5, 2016 Posted April 5, 2016 The fact that people are discussing some of the more depressing moments from Rovers history on a match thread, while the match is playing, just sums it all up really.
Gav Posted April 5, 2016 Posted April 5, 2016 Wednesday fan just text me, absolutely dire stuff from both sides.
T J Hooker Posted April 5, 2016 Posted April 5, 2016 Jeesuz that must be the most toothless bench of subs i've ever seen from us

Mercer Posted April 5, 2016 Posted April 5, 2016 Bolton 3 down and pretty much down Very sad at what's happened there. We need as many NW clubs as possible in PL/Championship. Good for regional football.
Backroom Tom Posted April 5, 2016 Backroom Posted April 5, 2016 Sounds like a typical midweek away game for us 0-0 at half time probably concede halfway through second half then never look likely to get back in it
G Somerset Rover Posted April 5, 2016 Posted April 5, 2016 First time I've just looked at the bench; bloody hell it's pitiful. Would take a point although most clubs below us doing the business.
barry_ Posted April 5, 2016 Posted April 5, 2016 Sheffield are quick on the attack whereas we are slow.
frosty Posted April 5, 2016 Posted April 5, 2016 Sounds like a typical midweek away game for us 0-0 at half time probably concede halfway through second half then never look likely to get back in it That does seem to be how it usually goes, to be fair.
