No-one can argue this was well thought through or executed, but let's face it, the people who sit up there probably wouldn't have liked any change. If they wanted to be in another part of the ground they'd already be there.

I have to say, if Seneca do take over, I'd expect much bigger changes on anything and everything that costs money but doesn't contribute to a promotion push. No doubt the fans most angry with Venkys would happily go along with a new approach, but the few who support them and the many who don't give the ownership much thought one way or another might get disgruntled.

One way or another, the times of sit where you like in an oversized ground and no or minimal price increases for years on end look like they are over.

sorry but im finding some of this ridiculous, kids should just sit where they're told its not ruddy Disney Land its a football match, kids season tickets are free or very very cheap anyway, they should just be grateful to be there, my parents and the parents of most my friends could rarely afford to even take us to games when we where kids(80/90s) now they want wrapping in cotton wool, under complete shelter from the elements, food and drink before the game and half time, perfect view of the pitch, ect...(jeez how would they have handled being on the terraces stood amongst a crowd of proper beer soaked lairy men in a cloud of cigarette smoke, with steel fences, pillars and a row of police&stewards in front of them back in the day!)

Is it right they are moving those who are in the JW lower 'new' family area if they are not a family? Seems like they are being kicked out!

Do they not want any ticket sales?

I was going to post about this as the letter we have received tells us we have to move out of our seats. Currently we are in the block immediately to the left of the area where the subs and non-playing staff sit. Close enough to hear the manager's chat on occasions. Based on this it would seem the whole of the JWL from the tunnel to the BBE will FS.

The letter does say if one is registered as disabled with the club, my son is, we should contact the club. I suspect this remark is for wheelchair users and not ambulant individuals.

It seems all JWL ST holders have to move to accommodate the FS. The letter appears to be offering "similar seats" in the DE side of the JWL for £299 when we paid £429 last season.

I'm not as irritated as many but we chose our seats very carefully as they take in to account my son's difficulties.

Learnt one thing today. I thought the mascot was called Roar and not Rover the Dog!!

Just to put another slant on this - Kamy has a survey on his twitter feed where only 23% are against moving the family stand (547 votes).

I think it has been handled really poorly - but still think the idea has merit. As Ben mentioned - it looks like the price increase would have happened anyway - but for the sake of £20 it would have been good PR to not apply the price increase for anyone being forced to move.

For those moaning about moving the cameras - I have seen a few comments over the years where people have commented the camera position doesn't show the ground at it's best - again the whole thing has been poorly handled.

Nobody has asked my family or friends about it. I very much doubt that the 547 people actually sit up there in the first place.

Survey: Who would like to be uprooted from a seat that they have had for 20+ years to sit a pitch level, more open to the elements and with a totally different perspective to the one you have chosen?

Question 2: Who would like to pay for this privilege?

Question 3: Should we invest dead money into moving the TV gantry from a pefectly fine location into a lower angle that is subjected to glare from the winter sun?

Motion passed.

Idiots.

The DE side of the JWL is extremely sparse. I would hope you'd be able to get a very similar position on that side.

Camera wise? Whenever I've watched for JWL,(friendlies and lge cup) the dugout seems to obstruct the view from ground level.

Despised my view in there.

Wasn't Roar a very naughty Lion and sent to the naughty lion enclosure, and Rover the dog took over?

😅😅😅😅😅😅😅

Terrible, terrible. It beggars belief.

Take it as far as you can (refuse to move etc...)

Maybe all the family stand members could refuse to move. ???

Worth a try.

I didn't realise folk already sat there were being turfed out - makes it slightly better for family stand folk but worse overall as more uprooting for folk who like their seats

It screams of, "What is the worst and most disruptive thing we could possibly do to these idiots who have remained loyal to the team?"

It must have come from the top because it lacks common sense and understanding of the fan base.

It's a bloody PR disaster every which way - who thought it up......Mike step forward? Is he under orders, from whom?

They will lose more than they expect.....I'll be amazed if there are 8,000 ST sold, they insult us at every given opportunity.

Talk about respect, I have nothing but contempt for them!

Just another example of the the fans being shafted Pedro.

Just how much more are people going to take?

I hate the 'Rovers Fan' tag, but its becoming more and more relevant with each passing day.

So fans in two stands are now forced to move against their will whilst the Fans Forum keep quiet because they believe the club when they say they will consult with fans. I think that shows the contempt the club hold the Forum in. The letters sent out make clear there is no consultation process just do what we say. Clearly Cheston hasn't heard that the 'customer is always right'. The view from the gantry on the Riverside is going to look fairly grim. The upper tier of the Jack Walker Stand is already largely deserted and I suspect the lower tier may go the same way. Although I'm not one of those having to move I'm totally disgusted with yet another 'own goal' by the so called management structure at the club.

Parson the forum have now removed the tweets from yesterday with a member stating that people were using it as a means to moan.

some great people on the forum but they now need to get heads together and sort this mess out as this isn't good on all ends.

They've removed the post as it gave people a means to moan?

Seriously?

Yep it's a real shame as well as I feel it really misrepresents the fans forum and what they do as I absolutely think there is a place for the forum.

The whole thing has turned into a PR distaster for club and forum.

Always supported the fans forum, some good guys doing a good job on a voluntary basis.

The forum have always been given snippets of information and told not tell the general fan base, that in itself compromises the position they hold, and puts the club at a clear advantage, and it seems that privilege has bitten them on arse this time around.

Time for the fans forum to call it a day maybe? i don't know, but I think they need to take a long hard look at what they're trying to achieve and whether or not they're becoming an irrelevance or just a pawn in the clubs pursuit of p1ssing the fans off at every opportunity.
