Yep it's a real shame as well as I feel it really misrepresents the fans forum and what they do as I absolutely think there is a place for the forum.

The whole thing has turned into a PR distaster for club and forum.

Have no problem with the concept of the FF, but the tweets having a go at a fellow member, whilst apologising to the club where a disgrace. If they have retracted them only because people are calling them out for this, it is even worse IMO, as it shows whomever is in charge of the tweets is calling people who are angry at the changes 'moaners'. These people are supposedly representing the fans to the club.

Always supported the fans forum, some good guys doing a good job on a voluntary basis.

The forum have always been given snippets of information and told not tell the general fan base, that in itself compromises the position they hold, and puts the club at a clear advantage, and it seems that privilege has bitten them on arse this time around.

Time for the fans forum to call it a day maybe? i don't know, but I think they need to take a long hard look at what they're trying to achieve and whether or not they're becoming an irrelevance or just a pawn in the clubs pursuit of p1ssing the fans off at every opportunity.

The FF seem to have simply become another branch of the club, which I don't think was the original intention. It's going to be hard for anybody to trust them as an organisation if they are a part of the club as opposed to a part of the fanbase - and sadly, those two elements are now distinctly different things.

In my view, Gav, the FF are not and never have been geared up for the kind of discussions that the Rao regime requires. It's hot pies, prayer rooms and access to the inside track.

The Action Group filled the gap for a while but have now become a group for the fans - e.g. Away travel.

The Rovers Trust (the entity and not necessarily the personalities) are needed but they are the group with the least leverage.

Let's be clear though that tweet doesn't seem something agreed across the forum and was more down to the person running the Twitter.

You only had to look at the attitudes to fellow fans of the more vocal FF folk who post on here.

One of them described people who want Venkys gone as, quote: "enemies of the club".

The problem is not the group per se but the motives and priorities of the individuals involved.

The fans forum have done a good job during the good times, but the visit to Pune was an absolute disaster and it seems this is another disaster.

But again its a side show, moving season ticket holders without consultation is disgusting and just another example of treat the fans like sh1t.

Thats the real issue here.

100% agree Tom.

Amazing for whoever posted that, that they are anti the moaners - fellow fans who are upset, but arent willing to criticise the club after now learning that the promised consultation on Monday night, is in fact a letter telling those affected that unless they ring up and complain, they are moving anyway. They should be ashamed of themselves.

If thats the case Stuart, they should not be 'representing' the fans. What % of the fans, would agree with that viewpoint? Less than 0.1% at best.

Another black day in the history of the Club, and all down to the shambolic chaotic Reign of the Roas.

Todays events remind me of the story of the Emperors Clothes. In the midst of the disorganisation and the alarming decline of the Club, those in charge at Ewood seem more concerned in improving the aesthetics of the ground to massage the egos of our Moron owners, than getting to grips with the problems.

If ever there was an example of how little we figure in Venkys thoughts, today was it.

Their plan for self destruction is well under way.

And the FF need to take a long hard look at themselves.

I would urge anyone interested in this matter to have a look at the tweets tonight of @markhitch.

Unbelievable.

I'm presuming this is the person Tom is referring to.

The DE side of the JWL is extremely sparse. I would hope you'd be able to get a very similar position on that side.

Or just shut that section and move those fans. It would still affect some people but far less than this situation.

Of course it wouldn't help with Rovers new 'keeping up appearances' approach to the TV cameras.

as ive said many many times they don't represent fans and they most certainly don't represent me.

With regard to the fans forum I think it's clear this is very much an issue which should be addressed. Surely it is precisely why the group exists?

The letter I received along with other versions posted on here plus the timing of receipt indicates this was a done deal. There was never an intention to consult directly with affected fans or the fans forum. The decision was made and anything else was simply paying lip service to supporters.

The fact that JW lower ST holders are also being turfed out of their seats to accommodate BB End Upper ST holders that don't want to move just sums up this farcical situation.

So now we could see ST holders from two stands not bothering renewing.

Considering there are enough seats in that side of the JW lower to move the BB Upper ST holders alongside exisitng ST holders ( especially as plenty of BB Uppers won't move anyway) it seems unfathomable that they are asking long standing JW ST holders to move to the other side of the stand.

I'm just at a loss. To go from John Williams to this...

This has been a very poor week for the fans forum.

First of all whoever sent out those series of tweets on Tuesday which attempted to throw poor Savio under the bus needs to be bought to task, they sounded as though they were tweeting on behalf of all of the other members and were uncomfortable to read especially as Savio was really responding to something that had already been posted on this forum. This was then further compounded by the tweet suggesting that a full consultation would take place with affected fans which was clearly not the case and I know people at the club are not happy about this. These issues need to be dealt with properly as otherwise the forum will lose credibility with the fans and the club.

This whole moving the family stand issue has been handled extremely badly by the club but it just is another example of the totally disfunctional executive structure at Ewood Park. Until we don't get that sorted out it does not matter who we hire as manager as the club cannot move forward.

But you can't sit in the family area unless you fit the criteria from now on. Presumably if you do ie you have kids with you you can apply like everyone else for seats there.

Surely a compromise would have been keep the existing ST holders there, but don't allow any new non qualifying ST holders to buy a ST in there?

So we have lost Lambert, replacing him with utter dross and for the privilege my season ticket has gone up £55.

I find the whole episode of moving the camera and trying to make JW look full as another example of Venkys illusion, it's pathetic really.

Then the best seats are already taken and the family standers take the unwanted ones

TEAM UP. SUCCEED TOGETHER.

Horrendous slogan. We cant even rely on them these days!

Please can someone summarise what was insinuated about Savio ?

He's a jovial bloke and Rovers means a great deal to him.
