It says subject to final approval. " How Ewood is represented on-screen to the world will be transformed. The global public will see three modern and hugely impressive stands. They will look even more impressive when they are full of fans. The new Family Stand plays an important role in that." Direct quote from the letter I have in front of me.

It's not about what's actually happening you see; it's about the perception of the global public

It doesn't say that really does it??

Surely not

Rovers Fans Forum@roversfansforum 2m2 minutes ago

We would like to apologise on behalf of the forum for a member leaking information from the meeting yesterday evening.

The club planned on consulting potentially affected supporters before making any final decisions about sensitive issues...(cont)

Unfortunately a member of the forum has discussed information that was debated at the forum, this has caused significant upset..

And criticism of the club for not consulting supporters when they have done via the forum and planned to do with ALL affected fans...(cont)

The forum has enjoyed an excellent relationship with the club since 1999 and know this will continue. We unreservedly apologise for.

The actions of one member and the upset this has caused fellow supporters and the club #rovers #brfc

So to clarify either the above is complete bunkum and the club never, ever planned on consulting anyone.

Or else because one die hard rovers fan who had been told this confirmed a strong existing rumour which was in circulation, the club have thrown their toys out of the pram and are no longer consulting with those CUSTOMERS who they are inconveniencing / annoying,

Any fans forum member care to elaborate which it is, because the line above that the club "planned to consult affected supporters" looks completely false.

What 'world' what that be? The 600,000 or so hardy souls that spendtheir Saturday night watching Channel 5?

Moving the camera years ago when we had 25000 in the ground would have a been an excellent idea, means feck all now.

Though saying that, if they get every home fan in the BBE lower/JW lower, Venky's will be delighted with the packed stadium when the famed 'beamback' is viewed on the Pune compound.

Are they really moving the tv cameras? Why now after all this time?

The camera will be a lot lower.

People watching who have never been to ewood are going to be shocked to see a big empty stand instead of the usual cowshed.

We're hardly ever on TV, but I'm wondering if the cameras will just be at the 2 corners. If a camera is in the middle, wont the hoards who leave 15 mins from the end obstruct the view?>???

Access to and from the Riverside used to be via the back steps. I'd love the main exit to be there and that to be the case again.

There's an old chap I see every week (he's steward assisted also). He Sits at back of the stand and has to walk to the front and back out. Doubling the journey.

All fur coat and no knickers, is the phrase my Mum would use

Anybody know where attachment 2 is ,relating to item 7 in the Fans Forum minutes from March.

The best bit in there for me is 'MC reported the club was hoping to get season tickets to market earlier than last season'

If it wasn't so pathetic and embarrassing it would be funny. Its the 19th May and I haven't seen any prices or renewal information. Other clubs have had tickets on sale since February. Huddersfield had shifted more than 11,000 before the end of the season. Here we are at the back end of May and we're months behind league rivals.

So what has happened that has prevented Cheston from delivering on his hope and getting season tickets out earlier? Some radical new pricing scheme, some wide range of reforms across the club to revolutionise the operation? An impressive new manager or some top quality signings?

No. None of the above. Just clueless idiots running the club who think they can take loyal fans for granted and are about to find out that a lot of them won't put up with this rubbish and being treated like idiots much more.

Season tickets represent up to 11 free games and you save up to £266 as opposed to match day prices if that helps. there are 16000 seats at £13 per game or less.

If you buy by the 4th July and we get promoted you'll get next seasons ticket at 25% of this years price.

800 seats are reduced in the JW. what more do you want to know?

Oh and renewal packs will be out shortly but you can purchase online from Friday 20th May

Absolute disregard and contempt shown to fans.

The letter lists all the advantages including reduced prices - except it's actually more expensive if you've been forced to move.

Also I presume we have to fit around existing season ticket holders so the best seats will be taken

Mine tells me too that I don't fit the criteria for the family stand as if I didn't know. I preferred to sit there and the club were quite happy to let me so no problem. Theyre offering me the choice of seats elsewhere they say, but the fact is that nowhere will I get enough height to see the match as well as I do now unless I sit in the JW upper which is generally more expensive for a worse view in my opinion. I don't like sitting on the sides. I know lots of people do but I find it easier to see the whole pitch at once if I'm at an end. that limits my choice to the back of the Blackburn end lower where there will not generally be spaces. You can't see over the net if you're too low down. what a good job I've already decided not to get a ticket.

It doesn't say that really does it??
Surely not

If I knew how to do it I'd post the letter in its entirety but I assure you it's a direct quote

One thing people are missing is that the increase does not only apply to Family Stand relocations.

It tells you in the letter that the price in the Blackburn End is £299 next season which in itself is also a £20 increase. So in effect you would still be paying the increased price if the Family Stand had stayed where it was.

So the bottom line remains you are paying more money to sit somewhere you don't want

I'd like to know how much it will cost me to renew my seat in the Riverside stand (adult). I'm not interested in mumbo jumbo like '11 free games' or what happens if we get promoted (not a cat in hell's chance so no need to put that 'incentive' in.

I'd also like to know why it has taken the club until the end of May to do this and why we are lagging 3 months behind many other clubs.

Yes... but that would have been the price in any case.

As I say the price would have been the same wherever the family stand was situated.

So out of interest, would people be happy paying the increased price had the FS remained in the BBE Upper?

Another thought they make the JW lower the same as the riverside and move the cameras to riverside.

Part of me thinks they expect folk to move from riverside to JW so they can mothball that next

Season ticket letter re BB End Upper closure arrived today. Not consultation, just info

Did you expect consultation gumboots? They consulted with their lapdog - sorry, the Fans Forum - and that appears to be it. When a Fan on the forum tells the rest of us how it is they are hung out to dry by their colleagues on the Forum because keeping in with the club is far more important than giving fellow supporters information. As you say, no mention of consultation with the people who sit in the stand just a statement that they are moving to inferior seats, open to the elements in the front rows and seemingly paying more for the inconvenience. As the Strikers Lounge is remaining open as a pre-match facility I wonder just how much is actually being saved? I loved the line in the letter with regard to fan engagement that one of the attractions for moving was to be able to see 'Rover the Dog'. You really couldn't make it up.

Which is bull in itself as my son had his photo taken with Rover recently in......the Concourse of the family stand

Happier I'd suspect. we all know prices may rise from season to season but being given your choice of seat at lest gives you some say in the process. this is basically take it or leave it
