Just need to save up enough to sponsor myself to a home game at ewood park. Hopefully in this life time :D

I was going to say hop in with the Venkys but then you'll never get here. Infact if you set off and walk, swim, hitch you'll still get here before them!

Because the Blackpool supporters offered the oystons 16 million which they rejected. They should have taken that and left. Last I heard manchester united were 400 odd million in debt. How much do you think they are worth? Should the Glazers sell for 0 pounds ? Does not work that way.

Blackpool have no debt and make a profit so you can't compare them to Rovers.

By the way, how much did Oyston buy them for in the first place?

It is not worth comparing BRFC with Man United surely?

And you can compare it with Bolton? While I agree with where you are going, the larger point I was trying to make was that a deal does not happen based on the buyer's valuation of a business. The buyer and the seller have to agree on a certain valuation in order to reach a deal. Just like Blackpool's 50 million valuation was very high which their supporters were not willing to pay even after being a profitable club, they did not have a deal. Whether Blackpool is worth 16 million or 1 million or 50 million or 500 million is not the point. If their supporters wanted to rid the owners desperately, they would have to cough up 50 million which they did not. As a result of which, their club is still effectively with the Oystons.

What point are you trying to make, is it

The lunes wont sell

The lunes won't say a price

The lunes are not the real owners

The lunes are confused

I am not their spokesperson but if they would be offered anywhere close to the money they put in, they should consider it. Whether they do or not is not is up to them.Do I hear an offer? :P

Alternatively If you can convince them to sell for 1 pound, I am willing to search for Investors. Fair enough?

That's easy for you to say

:D

How about punerover?

If the FA can approve the Venky's of all people, whats wrong with me? ;) I protest. Discrimination :)

Nothing to do with the FA, protest all you want, if you don't pass our tests you're off hire matey.

Fair enough. I am happy for you if you manage to own the club for pound 2. While practically I would be happy even if I can own a Conference north or a conference south club for that amount :P and let others decide who got a better deal. :P

Tut tut punerover,

mine is a genuine offer, whereas yours is just posturing.

No competition on who will have the best deal, Conference club V the most successful town football club in the world

By the time the witch has got the half wits around the table to collectively decide to sell , Rovers might well be in the same division Yoda, but punerovers club will have a lot less debt .

If it does come to that would you keep Mike Chesterton as first team manager/coach/physio Chairman/treasurer/secretary/tea lady after relegation to the conference?

Who said I wanted to buy the debt,

My offer is for all physical and intellectual property, fixtures, fittings and all paid up share stock appertaining to Blackburn Rovers.

And that my friend, is precisely the reason why any of us fans will not get to own BRFC on our own for pound 2. Even if you ignore due diligence.

It happened at west houghton wanderers,

where are they going to get a better offer ?

You dont have to convince me, you have to convince them. I might think that they should pay someone to get the club off their backs. Forget getting paid anything. It does not matter what I think. If Blackpool can do 16 million I am sure our fans can do > 2 pounds. I do not own BRFC nor am I affiliated with the Venkys because I live 500 kms away from PUNE. If you can get the club for 2 pounds I will get the Rovers trust to buy it. I am sure they will fall under your fit and fine and due diligence list

£120m?

Venky having any hope for any kind of profit?

Laughable.

The next owner if this club will start wth it on its knees. If we are lucky. Without an unlikely promotion.

You will do that !!!! how ?

Don't be so sure about that particular due diligence test

;)

We have strict standards when it comes to the Rovers

So, then are you implying the rovers trust are not good enough to own BRFC? Who is? Can you name someone? Anyone?

So name a figure. Unless you are going to go the 0 pounds and 1 pounds and 2 pounds way. Which is as Laughable as 120 million if not more. If you can name a reasonable figure that is and also let me know how you arrived at that figure.

The trust would have to prove they are good enough is that not the objective.

I could name several but would need their permission first.

Wouldn't be professional otherwise would it,

Like I said, standards

Unfortunately, if the FA had any standards at all, Venky's wouldn't be here in the first place. The standards are set by FA not by U and me. After all these 5 years you would surely have realized that money is the name of the game. Whether you choose to believe it or not is entirely up to you.
