Mike Graham Posted April 18, 2016 Posted April 18, 2016 Our last game this torrid season is at home v Reading. Will the Manager and players do a lap of honour (or maybe dishonour!)? Will the V's turn up? Will the players turn up? Will many fans bother to turn up? I think we need to remind folk that Rovers is OUR CLUB (the few of us who are left bothering to turn up). Has anyone out there got any novel ideas to remind the football world that: this is OUR CLUB; that we care; that we have had enough of absent ownership? This is a serious question.....we need at very least to make a symbolic gesture.

Mike Graham Posted April 18, 2016 Author Posted April 18, 2016 Is it not against Reading?Yep, just another example of having my brain cells deadened by the V'sWhat a wally. It is now corrected :-)
JHRover Posted April 18, 2016 Posted April 18, 2016 The 'lap of honour' last season was bad enough, and that was after a top half finish. It didn't help that after the full time whistle all the players went down the tunnel for nearly 10 minutes before returning to the pitch, meaning many people had left the ground by the time they came back. If they're going to have one this season they need to do it straight after the whistle whilst people remain in the ground. Or probably better if they just stand in the middle of the pitch for a couple of minutes, maybe interview Lambert/Hanley and then head down the tunnel. Maybe present the player of the season/goal of the season awards on the pitch after the game rather than before it. I won't be hanging around in any event, because i'll be heading over to Accy Stanley to hopefully see them secure promotion.
BlueMonday Posted April 18, 2016 Posted April 18, 2016 I'll be down for this one as I think next season is make or break, and I want to let Venkys know what I think of the ownership, not that there will be any one in the Directors Box. Will probably just give subdued applause if there's any kind of Lap by the team and hope they don't over cook it. Won't boo either, can't do that to the shirt and I want Lambert to stay. But will be certainly be singing Venkys out with gusto. Not a season ticket holder, but next season I'm back in exile until Venkys show they are working for the good of the Club.
mhead Posted April 18, 2016 Posted April 18, 2016 Some reactions: -Venkys will not be there -protests need to be elsewhere -Bristol City my last match for this Season The Action group needs to re-group with an Action Plan for next season. The Trust needs to gather together its 'big hitters'.
JHRover Posted April 18, 2016 Posted April 18, 2016 The best thing the Action Group could do is to produce the fabled dossier of information that was going to be released to the public several years ago but which for some reason has never seen the light of day.
Moderation Lead K-Hod Posted April 18, 2016 Moderation Lead Posted April 18, 2016 It's the day before my birthday, I'm at a wedding the day/night before so I'll probably be on, soothing my expected hangover with a pie (or maybe 2) and a coffee. The K-Hod pie fund is always in need of being topped up, so any donors are welcome!

Probably the same reason that certain sports journalists can not run the full story. You do know that FA approved football agents and former FA business partners have invested a healthy amount of money in preventing certain things being published and that certain items were acquired by lets say not straight forward avenues. The above has been mentioned quite a few times as to the reason why certain things have not yet seen the light of day.
Blue Cabbage Posted April 18, 2016 Posted April 18, 2016 It's a shame it can't be "forgotten" on a train or something similar. What about an anonymous blog type thing? Just thinking aloud...
gumboots Posted April 18, 2016 Posted April 18, 2016 Isn't it usually paper skips where sensitive info is found?

The only reason apparently that it can be released. For anyone who doesn't know, serious wrong doing has allegedly gone on.

tomphil Posted April 18, 2016 Posted April 18, 2016 It could be released slowly in the form of a weekly comic, you know 'the names have been changed to protect the guilty' that type of thing. We'd all know what it was on about even if the outside world didn't. We could all pay a pound per issue to cover it. 4 thousand holes, over to you

1arC Posted April 18, 2016 Posted April 18, 2016 Hacking or burglary?! I have no idea, but I know it was stolen!
1864roverite Posted April 18, 2016 Posted April 18, 2016 I think Mike is right. The fans have to come out and back th club even if it just to send the right kind of message to our owners. We are BRFC and we will never be defeated !
Moderation Lead K-Hod Posted April 18, 2016 Moderation Lead Posted April 18, 2016 A rousing version of 'we're @#/? and we're sick of it', should do the trick I imagine. I heard a lot of fans in the DE at the weekend singing 'we're f***ing sh1t' and repeat was just as succinct.
jodrell Posted April 18, 2016 Posted April 18, 2016 Isn't it usually paper skips where sensitive info is found? Trains and Taxis tend to be popular.
Husky Posted April 18, 2016 Posted April 18, 2016 Will the Manager and players do a lap of honour (or maybe dishonour!)? Maybe the question should be: Will the poor little lambs be too tired to do a lap of honour after such a hard and pulsating season?
SIMON GARNERS 194 Posted April 18, 2016 Posted April 18, 2016 Anyone wanting to stay behind and applaud these shysters masquerading in our famous shirt must want their heads testing...this season has been a disgrace.
ABBEY Posted April 18, 2016 Posted April 18, 2016 Maybe the question should be: Will the poor little lambs be too tired to do a lap of honour after such a hard and pulsating season?Lazy @#/?s .. Can't be arsed running on the pitch , don't think they will be arsed walking around it
VinjayV4 Posted April 18, 2016 Posted April 18, 2016 Trains and Taxis tend to be popular. Also that vast cavern that's apparently even bigger than the general internet. The darkweb.
AndyNeil Posted April 18, 2016 Posted April 18, 2016 wouldn't staying behind and letting the players know exactly how @#/? they've been all season be a sort of therapy?!?!
