We have the the Football league show weekly where they show the highlights of championship matches on Star Sports. All the championship matches that are picked for Telly are shown LIVE on Ten Action.

No I mean Rovers TV , it was a weekly programme (1 hour I seem to remember) , think it was on Ten* . Just wondered if it had been left to quietly die off just like the club. It showed match highlights and various pieces that were available on Rovers player. There was also a Rovers fanzine style thing that was in copies of the Indian 4-4-2 magazine, no doubt that died off as well.

seems not be a current listed programme anymore

If I were a cricket fanboy I would not be following ROVERS. I had a couple of English fans who work here from Bolton who were surprised to know that I follow Blackburn. All they had met are Arsenal, manu, manc chelsea n liverpool fans in India. I follow a local football team that is a nobody and I am happy following the sport I like. Also, the Raos have no IPL interests, the pune franchise is NOT owned or operated by the Raos. It would look really stupid to hold a RAO placard on a cricket ground in a cricket match regarding a football team that no Indians are interested in, let alone the Indian media. I get ridiculed here by some members on this message board because of my perceived lack of football knowledge how stupid would it look to the Indian media? Also, all placards are censored on TV in IPL. If I hold one does not mean they will show one. :P While its good to be passionate, its better to be practical. I dont think doing that would help the cause at all. Do you disagree?

Why do you need to be a cricket fanboy ?

Surely if you had a venkys killing Blackburn rovers sign and it got shown on the worldwide and Indian TC then it would at least make them squirm..

Why would it stupid?

Or are you really not in Pune ...take one for the team

Abbey, like i have told YODA before, I am not from pune but a small village about 500 Kms from pune. My city does not even have a football club playing in any of the top Indian Leagues. But If u can come down here I will surely join you and both of us can take one for the team. I will even watch that keany IPL cricket match which I hate. I will be happy knowing that whatever fate falls upon us, we will be in it together, Either in Jail or in the courts. :) We shall call it the fight for independence. [Liberating a football club from a tyrannical ruler if you will]

Yeah, you chucked a snowball and shouted at venkys. Just like being on the battlefront that.

more lies ( you can actually prove I threw the snowball can you ?) #chatshit and you took the venky blood money.

Apologies PuneRover, we're not all like ABBEY. I was quite enjoying your input.

Its like a school argument again, you were involved in that "protest".. I can just imagine you giving it the "Sir it wasn't me" after a snowball fight,

You dont need to seek an apology for anything. What bothers me a bit is people associate my nickname to something shady as if i was a Venky SPY. The day I posted on Lambert's Jan signings and immediately people jumped "HE IS A SINISTER GUY hatching a sinister conspiracy" because his nick is punerover. I appreciate people agreeing or disagreeing to what I have to say. I have no problems in that if you will, but sometimes they just want to assault the nickname.

You are pathetic!

So I was there at the protest , that means I threw it and you say it's school yard stuff. Tell you what instead of making actual lies up and making yourself look silly and a liar ( just like Kean)like a spoiltt school swot try talking in truths and stop sreading lies about me.

This is what this board has become now is it . ? What hidden agendas are there for admin to spread total lies and assisinate peoples character!!!!!!!

Whatever happened to from snowballs to handshakes ?

Now if it was shaking by the throat I'm sure a few would be up for it.

Well it was such a terrible, trite phrase. Never worked for me... In a Spartacus kind of way, I prefer:

I threw the snowball at Madame Desai,

But it hit her husband instead..

When a policeman came and he asked me why,

I said " I wish all the Venky's were dead!"

But that's just the way I am.....

The few posters we've had from India since Venky's took over have been pretty sound, I just think anything relating to Pune raises alarms even if it's meant in a benign way.

Weren't there a group of Indian fans who took a "Kean Out" banner when Rovers were on tour in India a few years ago? That was fantastic.

Yes. People who follow football and India (a very small subset but growing) mostly follow the big teams in the EPL + Bayern + Barca + Real. Mostly. But everyone that I know here in India who knows a bit about Blackburn Rovers know what has happened and aren't very appreciative of the owners to say the very least. Some have mentioned explicits but they cant be put on a message-board. Initially everyone was elated when they took over and it was pasted all over the news. There were news articles about a world class academy here and all but nothing has materialized. It was fantastic when the friendly was organized, and most of the fans were like WOW and open mouthed. But ever since then things have gone south and if you ask most people here in India who know about Blackburn Rovers, will tell you that a decent club has gone south. Many were not pleased that the to-be academy that was to happen in Pune did not take place. Now the interest has gone down so much that almost nobody talks about Blackburn Rovers here anymore apart from some decent followers. I went to pune last year for work and from the 50 or so following that we had, only 3 of us met at a cafe to discuss Blackburn Rovers. Others had simply moved on.

How easy would it be to get some written documents into the Pune villa?

Can I just say if someone says they're from Pune, India or Timbuktu I couldn't care less, their opinion is as valid as anyone elses.

I asked a simple question, got a reply, debated briefly and thats the end of it.

Move on.
