Have to say throwing snowballs was rather a "chicken" way of getting the point across. Shaking by the throat would have been much better.

Shaking by the throat? Ever heard of choking the chicken? :P

Yes. People who follow football and India (a very small subset but growing) mostly follow the big teams in the EPL + Bayern + Barca + Real. Mostly. But everyone that I know here in India who knows a bit about Blackburn Rovers know what has happened and aren't very appreciative of the owners to say the very least. Some have mentioned explicits but they cant be put on a message-board. Initially everyone was elated when they took over and it was pasted all over the news. There were news articles about a world class academy here and all but nothing has materialized. It was fantastic when the friendly was organized, and most of the fans were like WOW and open mouthed. But ever since then things have gone south and if you ask most people here in India who know about Blackburn Rovers, will tell you that a decent club has gone south. Many were not pleased that the to-be academy that was to happen in Pune did not take place. Now the interest has gone down so much that almost nobody talks about Blackburn Rovers here anymore apart from some decent followers. I went to pune last year for work and from the 50 or so following that we had, only 3 of us met at a cafe to discuss Blackburn Rovers. Others had simply moved on.

Don't hold your breath on that anytime soon either as its over a year since BRAG minutes last updated the issue. Global marketing hasn't exactly been helped by relegation of course (as if Venkys would have the slightest clue anyway) but supposedly an Academy location was identified. Clearly the "plans" must be in slow motion or as some may call it subject to venkytime.

That exhibition was a complete waste of time against an awful team with possibly the worst commentator I've ever heard. Should have played

the Indian national side instead.

EDIT-An apology to that commentator whatever his name was. I forgot that Michael Owen exists.

That's rather a bold allegation and a bit out of order.

Not sure if anyone was named though believe there were arrests. Considering Abbey's reaction on this thread and the "ask admin" section its pretty clear he didn't throw anything.

What happened to our fans?

We've never been Leeds, Millwall or even burnley, but you'd expect a pulse!

Makes me weep D, it really does.....

They decimate the local Industry...no protest.

They decimate the night life...no protest.

They impose ridiculous restrictions for the Derby games....no protest.

Unfortunately Gav we are just seeing a sad continuation.

PASSIVE BLACKBURNIANS.

You fairly have it in for Dunny don't you? Why wouldn't he retweet it, him and Brett Ormerod are friends that go way back. If you're trying to suggest that he doesn't recognise that Rovers are in a similar state to Blackpool, well thankfully we aren't quite there yet. That is the Doomsday scenario.

What's the beef (in general) with one of this club's best players in recent times (arguably of all time) and him re-tweeting a story featuring a life long mate of his?

I think vinjays irony of dunnys GET REAL and support of venkys is being missed . Or is it another of admins trolling of anyone controversial. The new brfcs trend.

That just isn't the case Abbey.

More pertinent is why have a pic of someone you, apparently don't like, with a red nosed @#/? in the foreground?

and that is a genuine enquiry

He's explained this one. It's the reaction of Phil Jones and Ferguson after City won the title with the last kick of the season.

But this is a Rovers message board. I don't mean to stir the poo up here, but that avatar does Vinjay absolutely no favours whatsoever. He'd be better off having one of the United players trooping off Upton Park in May 1995 or even the West Ham goalie from that game!

It would kick off with fans fighting fans if last weeks Venky lovers were anything to go by .

Anybody who takes it that seriously they want to fight over it needs to take a long hard look at themselves.

I don't think such a person as a Venky lover exists anymore.

If we have any fighting starting a fight because they do not want their beloved Venkys criticised then they want to see a psychiatrist fairly pronto.
