yoda Posted May 19, 2016 Posted May 19, 2016 I got a letter about my car park today. Wanting feedback. Mentioned having to give away fans more spaces. Can't see the logic. Make em arrive on coaches with a police escort

perthblue02 Posted May 20, 2016 Posted May 20, 2016 The players released list (depending on new manager!) http://www.rovers.co.uk/news/article/rovers-confirm-retain-list-3120349.aspx
Backroom Tom Posted May 20, 2016 Backroom Posted May 20, 2016 I would have offered Jackson a new deal on low wages Basically everyone out of contract has been released
G Somerset Rover Posted May 20, 2016 Posted May 20, 2016 I would have offered Jackson a new deal on low wages Basically everyone out of contract has been released Not necessarily. They're free to speak to other clubs, but the new manager will likely come in and run the rule over the players out of contract. Spurr aside, I can't exactly see clubs falling over themselves for any of them.
den Posted May 20, 2016 Posted May 20, 2016 I can't believe that these decisions have been made without the input from the next manager. Not just a few days before surely?
LDRover Posted May 20, 2016 Posted May 20, 2016 Good to see the deadwood being cut but it'll only be replaced by more deadwood. Cheap deadwood at that.
rovers11 Posted May 20, 2016 Posted May 20, 2016 I can't believe that these decisions have been made without the input from the next manager. Not just a few days before surely? Isn't today the deadline for announcing the retained list?
McClarky Posted May 20, 2016 Posted May 20, 2016 There's no decision been taken has there, not that they are prepared to say anyone. Players are free to talk to other clubs and might get a new offer when new manager comes in, Ii.e. non-story.
Darwen Rover 007 Posted May 20, 2016 Posted May 20, 2016 Would've kept Killy (for when one of Duffy or Hanley leave) and also Simeon (as he's the only striker we have) brown is not a striker
LewisF Posted May 20, 2016 Posted May 20, 2016 I'd have kept Killa and Spurr, maybe Jackson on a low wage. Is Guthrie STILL here? Stealing a living that guy
McClarky Posted May 20, 2016 Posted May 20, 2016 We might still keep Killa, he's the 1 I would keep. New manager better be here before end of June or the decisions will be taken for us.
J*B Posted May 20, 2016 Posted May 20, 2016 Chris Brown to be the leagues top goal scorer next season.
LewisF Posted May 20, 2016 Posted May 20, 2016 Chris Brown to be the leagues top goal scorer next season.he'll sign for burnley and do a Jamie Vardy
arbitro Posted May 20, 2016 Posted May 20, 2016 Whoever made the decision to not offer any of them a new deal has got it right for me. If we are going down the route of playing some youngsters each of them could prevent this from happening. And in reality they will be costing us between £110k and £140k per week. Surely we can get better players for less than that.
davulsukur Posted May 20, 2016 Posted May 20, 2016 Not sure who's made the decision but I guess it was fairly obvious. Can't see a new manager retaining any of them, maybe Killa.
chaddyrovers Posted May 20, 2016 Author Posted May 20, 2016 It will give the new manager plenty of room in the squad to bring in his own players. We need alot tbh.
Iceman Posted May 20, 2016 Posted May 20, 2016 We have gone from a squad of 75 players, to probably about 10 lol... Thats how you cut costs after blowing hundreds of millions.
chaddyrovers Posted May 20, 2016 Author Posted May 20, 2016 I wonder if the new manager will target Adam Le Fondre. But we need 3 or 4 strikers in this summer
Iceman Posted May 20, 2016 Posted May 20, 2016 We have released the players, but we also have the players who are on loan who will go. This squad is thread bare as things stand.
Backroom Tom Posted May 20, 2016 Backroom Posted May 20, 2016 It will give the new manager plenty of room in the squad to bring in his own players. We need alot tbh. That's a rather large leap to find a postive mate
neophox Posted May 20, 2016 Posted May 20, 2016 Steele Lowe - Hanley - Duffy - Ward Leninhan - Evans - Akpan Bennett - Marshall - Conway Subs: Guthrie, Henley, Raya, Nyambe, Doyle, Thomson, Tomlinson, Mahoney, Mansell. Contracted next season. Would say most Deadwood is gone.
chaddyrovers Posted May 21, 2016 Author Posted May 21, 2016 Hanley linked with Fulham http://www.thesun.co.uk/sol/homepage/sport/football/7166167/Man-United-transfer-news-Red-Devils-will-splash-25million-on-Southamptons-Sadio-Mane.html
