Can anyone confirm rovers not even bothering to sell season tickets next year?

The way things are going they could just leave the doors open and they wouldn't fill up.

I wonder if most that buy a season ticket actually get much of a discount bearing in mind how many ST holders appear not to attend a fair few games.

Really good point. I can never get to enough games to actually make it financially worth while buying a ST, though I continued to do so just to keep my connection with the club. No more for me though now.

I can't see them not selling ST's seeing as most of our matchday gate is made up of ST's. There really can't be many walk ups for most games these days so not having ST's will be a recipe for disaster.

There are just jerking around as usual not knowing what to do. Maybe they'll announce 150 pound season tickets.......along with David Dunn as new gaffer :o

Downsize your product offering, lose customers. With fuel, parking, time off work, ticket prices, programme and food it's not a cheap day out, especially with kids.

It's a desperately poor product. Fans renew out of sentiment and habit. Very poor value match day experience and has been for years. At some stage the rest of our fans will also leave and actually do something that makes them happy, whilst giving them good value for their disposable income at the same time.

Just setting off back home from Chicago soon.

Had the displeasure of sitting next to a Burnley fan on the flight out (he works in Toronto and returns home every 6 weeks to watch his team).

Was chatting to a waiter last night who loves the EPL and was a big Blackburn fan when we were in the Premiership. He asked if the chicken farmers still own us. It just goes to show how fickle our support outside of Blackburn, and the Premiership, can be.

I can see our support dwindling to early to mid 1970's levels next season. We have already had Cup games at 4-5K in the last few seasons and we could well have Championship home games against poorly supported teams at 5-6K next season.

As the above post says we have "a desperately poor product"; who in their right mind is going to pay to watch crap?

A lot of night matches this season have probably only had 8k or so actually turning up and under Lambert as well earlier in his reign. Given the fact so many who'd already paid couldn't be arsed even when it wasn't that bad I really dread to think of the evening games next season especially if STs are down significantly. Now way of dressing the figure up then.

Bolton will get more a league below I bet.

Blackburn Rovers

Barnet

Portsmouth

Stevenage

Oxford United

York City

Bradford City

Fleetwood Town

Can anyone guess what the link is between these 8 clubs?

The answer is that they are the only clubs from the current 92 in the Football League that haven't either announced next years season ticket prices or started selling them yet.

Portsmouth and Bradford are involved in the play-offs so have an excuse in that they don't know what league they will be in next year.

Fleetwood survived in League One just on Sunday so were probably holding off until their status was secured.

Oxford secured promotion to League One over the weekend so were probably holding off until they knew where they were going.

York have just gone down to the Conference so can understand a delay there.

What's our excuse? It certainly can't be league status given its been secured for weeks. Why are we the only club in the top 2 divisions to have not announced prices or started selling tickets? Are we so well supported we don't need to worry about it? Are the other 43 Premier League and Championship clubs doing it wrong and we know better?

This club is an embarrassment and it is being run like a small non-league club. Its pathetic. Then they wonder when crowds continue to fall and some say its all part of a natural process. Perhaps if the people running the club could be bothered to do the basics like everyone else does and sell tickets we'd have a better chance.

The season ticket page was updated 3 days ago to say that Season Tickets would be on sale "very soon".

That's not good enough. They've been saying 'very soon' for weeks. Its past that stage now anyway. The prices should have been announced the moment our Championship status was guaranteed. As ever we're playing catch up with rivals when we're in no position to do it, and its purely because of the shambolic way the club is run. Burnley have had them on sale since February, despite not knowing what league they were going to be in.

No season ticket offering, nowhere near a managerial appointment (whilst other clubs draw up transfer targets), new kits not out.

It's incompetent. I've had a season ticket for 19 years now, but this looks like being the first year I don't renew.

No season tickets on sale (or even pricing structures announced)

No home or away kits unveiled, advertised or any sort of release date.

No details of any pre-season games or tours except what Alan Irvine said off the record.

No Manager. Seach for a new manager being led by who? Apparently only at the shortlist stage 5 weeks after being told Lambert was walking.

No Chairman.

No CEO.

No Commercial Director.

No Board.

Joke of a club.

A shell of a club primed for ..

Running on a right shoestring whilst the owners continue to ignore it at will..

Staged damage limitation face saving slow exit, process might have begun...

Ready to re build with a budget, footballing chief exec & ambitious managerial appointment...

Left to rot under wilful ignorance again because no one can agree and no one really gives a toss....

The Bank of India have grabbed it and who knows what next.........
